Currently the theater is under construction as it will be opened as a new form of "sreemani hat". The Mani group bought it several years ago. It is not a movie theater now.

It was a famous cinema hall besides shraddhanand park in Sealdah area on Mahatma Gandhi Road.A popular Bus Stop nowadays.
Purabi and Aruna both yesteryears cinema hall were a heritage properties but in Kolkata building developers pay no importance of it and two cinema halls are under hammer to make way for a new Mall.

Once that place is crowed for new couples or movie-lovers, but now days this a haunted hall, just kinding😅😅😅🙏🏻🙏🏻 ,this cinema hall is now closed . So it is a good landmark in that place for new comers... Enjoy your journey..

This is very sad news for the cultural people like kolkata west bengal india..... now one promoter forcefully want to demolise the cinema hall complex where have 70 plus shop and offices .....owners of shop and offices in trouble as their family depends on it .....they all have fighting for existence for their family members ....i personally pray to the rest of the world and state government ....please join hands and save them....
