Hondo's #2

Located in Chinar Park, this restaurant is almost hidden from the public as it is on a lane on the inside leaving the main arterial road. The restaurant has quite good options specially breakfast and snacks. Taste is good overall however, I believe there is still room for improvement. The seating space is actually quite small. I went after 12 in the morning when it was deserted but I am sure there are times when there is a space crunch. The best part of the restaurant is that they are open 24X7 which makes it a perfect joint for a midnight chit chat over a coffee. Pricing is a little on the higher side which is the only downside in my opinion as there are other competitors offering same kind of food at a lower cost and perhaps with better taste too.

Amazing food. Great taste. A whole variety of options ranging from veg corn and cheese sandwich to honey glazed beef tenderloin steak to pork chops to tai lung noodles to nutella crepe, the list is never ending. The only drawback you can possibly face is deciding what to choose. It is open 24 hours, so you don't have to worry about when you get your food cravings. The service is absolutely wonderful and the staff is really helpful. Absolute 10/10 recommend for anyone. Please do visit atleast once and you'll find yourself coming back for more. Impressed. A hidden gem in this locality serving top quality food. One the best all over Kolkata.

A tiny outlet in the bylanes of Chinar Park, Hondo's serves the most unexpectedly delicious and unique menu. The owners themselves participate in the cooking and serving of food, taking care to make the guests feel warm and at home. We were a group of 7 with 2 toddlers and a kid of 13 and while we were waiting for the ordered food, the owner promptly presented us with a bowl of French fries with a specially prepared Mango based dip just to keep the toddlers busy. The food of course was awesome. The platters (sausages, bacon, salamis) had a sufficient amount of meat and was well prepared and yummy. The "Thor burger" turned out to be a humongous bite with a mouth full of taste - not overpowering but perfectly irresistible. Finally, the beef steak was a complete shocker though in the most pleasant way. The steak was made in a sauce of Dijon mustard and had a taste that was completely unexpected. But the owner had already prepared us for this by telling us that their steak was absolutely different from the "authentic" stuff available everywhere. The outlet itself is very small, with just 3 tables but the bright yellow walls decorated with cheeky chalk art making the interiors eminently enjoyable. The music was appropriate in content and volume and the temperature was kept at very comfortable levels. A must-visit for all those interested in a choice of food different from what most food outlets in India serve.

I stumbled across this place while searching for steaks on Google Maps. You would never find this gem tucked away in a quiet alley. I went there on a Saturday evening, and was surprised to be the sole patron there. The décor is pretty decent. The seating is not bad. However, there are only 4 tables inside, for 4 people at each table. I ordered a medium rare Beef Tenderloin Steak and was completely blown away. The cut is massive (300 grams), and was cooked to perfect tenderness. For the first time in my life, I saw mashed potatoes arranged to form a leaf design on the plate. Also, they serve a poached egg with the steak, which is a pleasant surprise. I wrapped it up with a Blueberry mousse, which they serve with molten jam on top. Makes a perfect concluding dessert. The owner is very friendly and has great taste in music. In his words, the restaurant only plays Pink Floyd and RHCP. I have to say, I had a splendid evening with the steak and Pink Floyd, and I would definitely be back.

I absolutely enjoyed the food here. I looked up on the internet to have a good food and google suggested this place and I have to say this was one of the best experience. People looking for a wonderful food should try it once at least. I do feel it is slightly expensive if you are on a budget but it's worth the extra penny one pays here. I had 3-4 items and all were mouth watering specially the starter, they call it Hogged chick and I have to say it is mouth watering 🤤. Kiwi burger was really amazing. Beef stronganoff was my main course and it was tasty 😋. After having this experience I packed my dinner too and had Original hamburger and it was delicious too. Hondo's#2 it was a pleasure having food from you. If and when I come to Kolkata again I'm surely coming to you.

A hidden gem located at Chinarpark which is open 24×7. The small joint offers a variety of delicious dishes with chicken, pork and beef. This place will give you reasons to revisit because they serve the best burgers and steaks over Kolkata. We had Wolverine, Kumropotash and Pork Chops. I'll just say it was 10/10. The patty was very juicy and pork chops was nicely cooked with amazing presentation. I highly recommend Hondo's #2.

Tried the MCB burger. The burger was very good, filled with veggies. Ideally want to give 3.5, deducting 1 point for ambience and hygiene of the place which can be improved for a proper dining experience. Also deducting .5 as my personal opinion was that the patty was not medium rare which was mentioned and more towards well done and the patty could have been more flavourful.
