The Zs' Precinct

We are glad to have The Zs' Precinct as the official launch partner of our magazine. A place with so much to exhibit and educate, we believe it is the only place in Kolkata where one could enjoy art, heritage and history in peace and with great coffee. Rajesh Sen is brilliant and kind and the story of the making of this Precinct is inspiring and an example that ought to be followed by owners of heritage properties in Kolkata.

Today I wish to talk about a #hiddengem in #DoverLane - The Zs' Precinct - where else in Kolkata will you find a #Boutique, #ArtGallery, #ReadingCafe, #HeritageHomeStay & a #ContinentalCafe - all under the same roof run by one man who is extremely passionate about each one of those verticals - talking about #RajeshSen da who is focused towards showcasing the age old lost #Calcutta (not today's Kolkata) - once you step in - you are bound to be lost in peace & tranquility that this space with aesthetic decor provides far away from the urban cacophony yet in the heart of the city.. All that you might hear are birds chirping & some classic jazz playing in the background.. Currently, open from 11am till 9pm daily with all #sanitizationprotocols in place - you are bound to loose track of time once you are inside.. Will focus on #MobysLarder now - the continental cafe that resides with a subtle presence inside this wonder world of affairs - tried the following delicacies & walked out gastronomically happy & satisfied to the tee.. Beckti Concasse - fillet of Kolkata bhetki in concasse served with a poached egg and spaghetti aglio e olio on the side. Fillet of beckti in South East Asian sauce with coconut milk. Ginger rice on the side. Fusilli Arrabiata with smoked sausage and garlic toast on the side. Fillet of beckti in capers, almond and cream sauce with pomegranate rice on the side - the pomegranate rice was to die for & an unique preparation indeed.. Chicken Forrestier - Pan roasted chicken breast with mushroom filling and top with creamy mushroom sauce. Eggless vegetable bake with beans, bell peppers, brocolli, capsicum, mushroom in two cheese sauce - I had no clue a pure vegetarian egglesh dish can be so dear to my tastebuds.. Home baked focaccia cupcake with homemade sun dried tomato in olive oil. #HamnBaconQuiche - undoubtedly the #best Quiche you can lay your hands on this city 😍 Most of the above items needs to be preordered preferably a day in advance since they believe in preparing everything fresh right from the scratch..
