The Hot Dog Company

Let me start with the chicago style hotdog. I mean cmon, the name of the place is the HOTDOG COMPANY, what a shame they gave me a water dog. Thoes of you who dont know, a water dog isnt fresh off the steamer as it should be, its a dog thats been sitting in a hot tub of water for god knows how long. I could taste some flavor in the dog but majority of it had been given away to the water it had been soaking in. I gaurentee you, if it were a freshly steamed dog, it would have been a home run. Alot goes into a chicago dog, its like walking a tight rope, an act of balance. Theres so much to a chicago dog, if you mess up one element the whole thing is ruiened. Thats basically whay happened when i got the poor tasteing water dog. Everything else about it was great though. I know they can do better, the veggies on it were extremely fresh and cut properly, the bun wasnt overly soggy, only thing that missed was the taste of the dog itself. This review would have been 3 stars had i not gotten the polish sausage. That thing was legit to die for. I fould myself awake at midnight thinking about getting another. If that doesn't mean its amazing then i dont know what does. I am going to go back and get another chicago style dog in hopes that the dog itself is fresher. Now, let me tell you about the menue, WHAT A SELECTION!!!!! Youre going to have a hard time decideing what to get only because theres so many amazing options. I need to try the bacon blue cheese hotdog!!!!! Sounds insane!!! I need it, and ill be back to get it. In order to stay open in lagrange you gotta be good, i think the hotdog company is going to be here to stay. Its up there on the list of best hotdog places in the chicagoland aera, i know it from the bottom of my heart.
