The New Crave Cafe

Two of us dined here on a slow Tuesday evening. We were greeted with a cheerful host and homemade chips and salsa. The chips were warm and perfectly fried. Best chips I've had in a while. I had soft corn tacos with steak, cilantro and onion. Very tasty. My husband hand soft flour steak tacos. It was a special request to have soft flour as opposed to soft corn. It was not a problem to substitute. Our food arrived quickly and the host provided us with more chips and salsa. Lovely dinner. We will be back.

Guys, this place is next to Trader Joe's in Lake Zurich! Google lost me at first. My first impression of this place is that it's not your regular Mexican restaurant by any means. It's a charming rustic and tastefully decorated space with lots of vintage styled pieces. The music is just right and not too loud! The customer service is excellent, great job to the person serving lunch. He greeted me with a big smile and was helpful. The chips are homemade and the salsa is a fiery roasted tomato base with tomatillo. The best part is they serve free coffee:) I will be doing more lunches here.

This is the best restaurant in Lake Zurich, I always feel welcome when I come here, the food is always so tasty. Maria, the owner, has her own recipes for everything and has her unique approach to customers. I always feel like she remembers every person who comes in and out, and you feel like a family member. Plus, the restaurant is beautiful inside, the patio is very convenient, very clean. I'm in love with it.

First time going to this place. It is nice. We showed at 445 and were greeted with friendly smiles and prompt service.The waitress sadly did not have apple juice for my child but was able to find a juice box for him in their fridge. I thought it was a kind gesture. The food was excellent. The salsa was a bit spicy but the chips were phenomenal. Please don't take my review of the salsa as negative. I do not handle spice very well. My wife on the other hand whom loves spicy food loved the salsa. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. My family was happy with the food and service. We will be going back again.

Went here for the first time yesterday and we were really pleased with our order. My friends both got the order of the chicken tacos and loved them. The cilantro rice was very good! I had the beef fajita bowl and it was prepared well. The quality of the food was very good and fresh. We experienced excellent customer service. The staff was very kind and really made sure our takeout did not leak by bagging it thoroughly.

Was super excited to try the newest Mexican place in Lake Zurich. We showed up early and could sit anywhere. Awesome decor! Lots of vibrant colors and cool stuff on the walls. The chips are made in house and taste amazing. The salsas are also home made and phenomenal. I was going to order a avocado burrito but sadly the avocados they had weren't ripe. The owner came over and I told her about it and she was apologetic and told us next time it was on her. An awesome way to handle that situation. We got the nachos which were huge and tasty! The quesadillas were awesome too. All the food is full of flavor and exceptional. Highly recommended and we will be back. :)

Pros: Excellent/super friendly service, quality ingredients, ample portions. They even serve only the good sugars on the tables. Imagine dining at your aunt's, and she can COOK. We will 100% be returning, just need to decide what to try next and try to pace ourselves... Cons: The location, exterior, and signage of this cozy place does NOT do the food and overall vibe justice.

Found this place randomly after doing some shopping in the area. Had no idea what to expect and was so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is really cute, cozy and homey. The food was delicious! My 9 year old son even ate 2 bowls of the lentil soup. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend; we will be back!

My husband and I have ordered take out twice in the past week. We've enjoyed their fabulous empanadas, mole wings, their awesome Mexican pizza, and the quite delicious and generous beef burrito (loaded with amazing marinated steak). While the menu is limited, the quality and flavor are VERY present. We have yet to try their breakfast, but dinner has yet to let us down. The woman who assisted us is exteremly friendly and hospitable. If you appreciate authentic latin flavors, run, don't walk and give this place a try.
