The Pendle Witch

The steak was very good. The bar staff friendly and professional. I was only visiting on a day out back to my student days of ‘75 so only ate. There were people who seemed to ‘regulars at their local’ and that made the atmosphere less sterile for an early evening midweek visit in what otherwise would have been an empty pub.

Booked a table for 5 to celebrate my birthday with my son who lives locally and was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I will certainly consider going back next time we're in town. We didn't have desert because the choice was limited but then again, the main course was very filling.

Wonderful service from Mathew and Liana at tonight at the Pendle Witch, thank you! Despite being incredibly busy with the big match on and not having been notified by head office that we had reserved a table for dinner, Mathew moved the pool table and added more tables in order to accommodate us temporarily until there was another table available. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience and that our dog was settled so we could relax, which was really important to us so we could spend some quality time with our son who is at Uni at Lancaster. Oh and the food wasn't bad either! Thank you, we will definitely be back!
