$8 for an iced coffee (soy). How does that work? It didn't even have the usual scoop of ice cream floating on top, just 3cm of froth. The plastic cup was empty after 3 sucks through of the straw. This place used to be good with friendly staff and good value, but not anymore. Don't they understand that they have a lot of competition in Lane Cove.

Hi Oliver Brown team - yes I like your cafe - awesome chocolate and good coffee. Also would like to acknowledge the fact that your cafe joined the Responsible Cafe Network some time ago and will give Take Away customers , who bring their own cup a small discount. Could we ask your management to “close the loop” by using paper straws instead of plastic? Our team is about Healthy Oceans - Clean Beaches and a good place to start is by not using Single Use Plastics. Happy to share some alternatives with your staff.

The staffs here are illegally poorly paid- way under minimal wage sits around A$12 or less; the manager is abusive towards some staff members; the customer service is extremely poor, they refuse to take order and cash from an elderly lady in her 80s having trouble walking from her table and insisted for her to order and pay at the counter. would not support this business.

Oliver Brown at lane cove is pretty good. The coffee is nice but not always piping hot and the selection of cakes and treats are OK. I do find the inside seating area a little squashy and if you sit outside near the plaza bring your sunnies as its a bit glary. It's fine for a quick coffee and cake.
