As a family we always come to Persian Basement, however the last 2 times we have come, the service quality has gone down drastically. The waiters do not bring food to one table at the same time, we have to wait for so long until we can eat, drinks were not provided even though we had asked for it so many times. Once we had finished eating the tables were not cleaned, we sat with our table all messy waiting for dessert. Speaking about dessert it also was not given to everyone, some kids had ice cream while others didn't so we had some upset kids. We were also celebrating a birthday, our cake came but not plates or forks were provided, we had to go chase it up. This whole experience has been horrible, we all are disappointed. For years we have been happy but last two times it's really changed. I can say our whole family won't be coming again. Slow and horrible service!

Spending Persian New Years event here. Very poor management and very poor service. Waiters have no idea what they are doing. No service on the tables. Very low quality music and DJ Please learn how to run a restaurant before selling event tickets to people. Such a shame if you have foreign guests in the event. Will never come back here.

Years ago our family would visit this resturant semi frequently and while the service was never spectacular the food was decent and in good portion sizes. After visiting last night I was disgusted at how much the service and food have gone downhill. There is no longer any table service and food is served in an unhygienic self service buffet style and by the time we went up half the dishes were depleted and disgusting looking. There are practically no waiters around so the table isn't cleared until the end of the night, you just have to sit with the dirty dishes and foods. They've cut down on food quality to save money and it shows. Incredibly cheap and tacky dining experience, it was unfortunate we'd brought guests to this embarrassing resturant.

The food is good but the people who are working there are not freindly or have no sense of customer service. I have been there couple time loved the food and last time I took my friends (not Persian) and even for small thing I had to go my self and ask for it, pretty embarrassing . They brought one plate of kebabs for five people which is normally they serve that for two people. Ask for another plate the lady refused and my guests did not eat much pretending no it is too much helping me not feeling bad and they might thought I ordered less food . Happy to charge you but unhappy when it comes to serve you.stoped going there

Worst food you can ever ask for . For buffet which is super expensive, they charge $65 pp but quality of the food can get any worst than this . Kebabs are awful and service and specially the management is most disappointing and unprofessional you can find anywhere. The manager is the girl who I believe never worked in food industry or any customer service related field and has no idea how to treat customers . She is the most rude , agreesive and impolite person I have ever seen in my life . Also when I mentioned this to the new owner, he said “I don’t care ,this is just investment for me “!!!! Such shame as this restaurant used to be one of the best in Sydney when previous owner Mr Dastyari used to manage it !!! If you want to waste your money , get the worst food and treat worst by management, then this is the best option.
