Moongate Cafe

So this is located on a service road. Follow your GPS you'll get there. It's probably the smallest building I've ever seen. Bit, let me tell yah, its so worth it. The waitress was so funny and fast. She had the whole dining floor herself plus the register. The cook even came to the door and asked how the food was, and boy o boy was it good. All home made and delicious. We waddled out. I think it's been a long time since I ate such great food. If you can make it, this is a great place!

The tiny town truckstop-style diner of your dreams. All of the favorites you expect; biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs any way you want but added Mexican classics like huevos rancheros and smothered burritos. The price point is crazy low. This is the kind of place where you will want to order all of the sides, and you should. Went in there and it was like an elderly home for truck drivers. The amount of glint off of belt buckles hurt my eyes. I loved it. WHY ONLY 4 STARS? star was taken off because I felt the quality of the food could be a little better. The price is there, but the price is there for everywhere in town.

I'm a very happy camper. Everything was great. The food, the service, the restrooms... everything. I was just passing by Las Cruces, a night in the mountains, then off to AZ. But the charm of these mountains, coupled with the excellence of the breakfast, changed my mind. I'll stay another night and enjoy my breakfast here again tomorrow.
