Located on the second floor of a strip mall on Spring Mountain Road in the Asian section of the city, Ichiza1 is a cute izakaya styled restaurant offering typical Japanese pub style food like yakitori, various soups and stews (think udon, yakisoba, etc..) and the like. The premise is on the smallish side with a bar seating under 10 people and then a variety of side down tables...all in the dark wood style one would experience in Japan proper.
The menu is colorful, bright and quite complicated although, thankfully, there are a number of photos to accompany the meal options so it makes it a touch easier (although our server was very helpful as well). We ordered a hodge-podge of items...Yaki Onigiri (fried rice balls...very good, crispy on the outside but soft and chewy in the middle), Mini Sushi Bowl (very good, fresh fish and common selection of tuna, yellow tail, salmon, etc...), Yakisoba (Stir fried noodle soup...also very good), Scallop Skewer (good...but a bit on the small side), Shishito Pepper skewer (excellent...great flavoring to complement the rest of the meal), Chicken Thigh Skewer (good), Cold Spinach with Sesame Sauce (good) and Garlic Edamame (ok...but would have preferred regular edamame...the garlic was too much of an extra flavouring). Overall it was very good and we had a lot of fun in the location. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!

Food is really delicious, fatty fish, and wide variety of Japanese dishes but gets a bit confusing because of their quantity. Worth the wait for some dishes.
If you’re coming at peak hours, get a reservation first or ask for a specific table because people tend to sit down. Order most things on your first-second order because waiter will be very busy.

It is a popular izakaya and we have to queue to enter. Ordered ochazuke and spicy seafood soup. It was surprisingly good. Recommended.

Authentic Japanese Breakfast! Tried:
Salmon Teishoku.
Saba Miso Teishoku.
Just like being in Japan.
Highly recommend!

The ramen is okay and definitely more affordable than other ramen places in Fullerton. The sushi roll was really good. Would come back because it's a good overall value. I would not order the spicy soup again and just get the regular one. Service was quick and servers were friendly.

Best place to hangout with friends! They are opened from 5pm - 5am, so you can come before the night out or after. The foods and sake here are very affordable comparing to other restaurants in Las Vegas. It’s Izakaya style. Dishes are served in smaller portion for you to try different things.
I would recommend you to try yakitori (chicken skewers). My favorite ones are the chicken gizzards, thigh, and homemade meat ball. The beef tongue stew surprised me as the beef tongue were very tender.

I have been here for over 15+ years. Been enjoying the food ever since I was shown this place from a friend. I really enjoy the chicken white meat roll aka sasame roll. I have taken many friends here and they enjoy it. It’s my to go place for authentic Japanese izakaya food. I really love coming back.

I love this Izakaya (Japanese pub traditionally for after-work drinking). The food menu is excellent and very much authentic. I wish I had more time and an appetite during this visit. I wanted to try everything they have on the menu! Service is excellent and very much to the Japanese standard (Omotenashi).

100000000000000/10 it was super nostalgic coming back to this restaurant after 10+ years. My family and i would eat here often when I was younger. The food quality has remained fresh, delicious, and flavorful after all these years. Serving size and portions are generous. All food items on the menu hit the spot so good i could cry. I love this place and my family and i love the owner (who may not even remember us anymore, but we thank him for hosting us and taking care of this beautiful establishment that holds memories dear to me. My love for japanese cuisine started here and ill always reminisce how my family and i shared our enjoyment over the meals served here) 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

The foods were good. They are good at frying , roll, and everything. I love the draft beer in there. We orders so many foods and almost everything was good with draft beer. But I wouldn't order Takoyaki.
