Marche Bacchus

Been a while since my last visit. We had lunch recently. It was a bit disappointing. Service was not up to normal standards. It seemed like they were short handed. My sandwich sat too long in the kitchen and was not hot. Worse, my side salad was wilted and overdressed. Perhaps sitting in the kitchen and waiting for someone to bring the food? I still enjoyed the sandwich and plan to return. Hoping it was a one time thing.......

We had our champagne brunch after our wedding here. They accommodated 54 people, and it never felt like a strain. The servers were so nice, the selections were great, and not a single person in our group left before singing their praises; it helped make our day beyond perfect. Now, PERSONALLY, I have a lot to say. The shrimp and grits was better than I expected, but as I took bites of my husband's eggs benny, I wondered if I may have been better off with that (both were good, so you won't go wrong either way)! We had a couple with some youngins and the kids LOVED the burger. To my understanding, with a party our size, modifications were limited, but they did have vegan options, and those who had them raved about how delicious they were. Finally, the desserts were amazing; they ran out of the chocolate mousse, but had backup options they brought out for those who missed out. FINALLY, the bar was fantastic. I wish I'd gotten her name, but the bartender was incredibly knowledgeable about the liquors served and let me have a tour around their tequila selection; I will think about her daily, but also of some of the most caramel-y tequila I've ever had. I can't thank them enough for making our wedding day even more perfect than we expected.

First, good things to point out: My GF and I went there mainly because of the lakeside view and their wine collection. The service is pretty good. It was Sunday noon time so the servers were busy but they were still attentive to our needs. However, the food is a bit disappointing and we didn’t like the food too much. The bread was not the typical garlic bread, escargot tastes good but it was merely 5 small ones (North Italia has better dish), the mussel was a bit over cooked, the Linguine was probably the only highlight of the food this time. The 2920 Domaine Jomain Bourgogne Chardonnay from Burgundy area though was the right white wine for us! It was light and crispy, perfect for the food and our light conversation. We ordered 2 glasses at the bar and were so impressed that we ordered a bottle to pair with the food. We all wish that the food quality and quantity could be improved so that we can go there more often!

Tucked away from the vibrant buzz of the Las Vegas Strip, Marche Bacchus emerges as a peaceful haven beside the serene Lake Jacqueline. This bistro, with its French wine influences, features a welcoming bar highlighted by a pair of sophisticated walnut high-top tables, each surrounded by a curated selection of wines. Stepping past the bar, perfect for a laid-back Happy Hour, the venue reveals a warm indoor dining area and an expansive patio. Both offer picturesque views of the neighboring community lake. Their culinary offerings are a fusion of French and Mediterranean essences, presenting a broad food menu paired with a notable wine collection. Residents can conveniently buy their chosen wine bottles, and for those wanting to savor it on-site, a modest $10 surcharge is added—a standout deal in the bustling city. During our experience, having missed our midday meal, we made an early entrance to partake in their Happy Hour, boasting half-priced wines and an array of reduced-price gourmet treats. We commenced our food adventure with the Pressed Cantaloupe & Watermelon Salad, garnished with Feta and Mint, so enticing that we considered doubling our order. Next came the Steamed Mussels, enriched with Hot and Sweet Peppers, Andouille, and a Beer-Infused Broth. Though tasty, it paled in comparison to its predecessor. The Truffled Goat Cheese Napoleon, layered with Puff Pastry, Pistachios, Honey, and Arugula, however, was a delightful dance of tastes, pairing seamlessly with our wine selection. No bistro experience is truly complete without a Cheese & Charcuterie spread, and Marche Bacchus rose to the occasion with its selection of Artisan Cheeses, Cured Delicacies, and sides. We wrapped up our meal with the Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna Tartare. While scrumptious, its sauce somewhat dominated the dish's inherent taste. Our chosen evening seemed unusually hectic, possibly due to a missing team member. Our attendant, juggling roles as both server and bartender, was a beacon of energy. Her dedication was evident, serving with genuine warmth and ensuring our comfort. For those in search of a break from the daily grind, Marche Bacchus stands as an undiscovered treasure in the locale.

I'm a huge fan of Chef Bradley Ogden and have been for years. When I found out that he was the new culinary director at Marché Bacchus, I had to visit. The foie gras was perfectly cooked, a true Bradley Ogden signature. I wouldn't expect anything else. All the other courses were great as well and the wine and spirits selection were truly amazing.

One of the best atmospheres for brunch available in Vegas, especially for a Vegas local who wants to take time to feel like they aren't in Vegas. High quality wine, high quality food, and excellent service. Definitely a great place for brunch/lunch and I'm curious how the environment would be for dinner so I plan to come back eventually.
