Cafe Mastrioni

Food is excellent and service was good although it took awhile to get our entrees. The problem was the loud noise blaring across the large room already noisy from the usual sounds of talking and laughing patrons. We noticed they turned it down at one point, only to turn it up again later. Some people may like the "vibe", but the crowd seemed to be middle-aged and older so, in our case, this was a big deterrent to a return visit.

This place is fantastic. The service was a little overwhelmed by the number of customers and they have a bunch of TVs playing sports. Those are the most negative things I can say. The food was great and the service was very good when our waiter had time for us. The decor is nice. It's an upscale place but they are very friendly towards kids. My wife got the pork belly. I got the crab legs. My kids both got plates of spaghetti, each with a big meatball. Everybody loved everything and my wife and I each have a list of about ten more things to try from their extensive menu.

This place is a hidden gem if you are not from the area. My family and I went on a whim and were very impressed. From the service to the atmosphere and delicious food. We loved it so much we got catering from here for a party shortly after which was also phenomenal. They were even flexible with the time they could prepare our order as it was not in their normal hours. Definitely recommend.

If you love Italian food, this place is for you! The menu was chock full of delightful sounding dishes. The only problem I had with Mastrioni's was that I wanted everything on that menu, and it was almost impossible to choose something because everything sounded so delicious. I finally went with the baked ziti, and it was absolutely delicious! This was the comfort food I needed after a rough week at work. The portion was big enough that I had plenty left over to take home and enjoy the next day. I even indulged and had a slice of yummy cheesecake for dessert. I went with friends to celebrate a birthday, and I had a chance to try a bite or two of the veal osso bucco. It was every bit as good as my baked ziti. So, I can recommend that dish as well. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the items on the menu and the specials. He was friendly and did a great job. I definitely want to go back and try something different from their awesome menu. Maybe I'll celebrate MY birthday here!
