Round House Buffet

How this place has that many stars is beyond me. Either others are fake or it went WAY downhill. I am not a buffet snob. I can adjust expectations based on location and price. Paid $15 for dinner. Even though it was prime eating time, somehow, a lot of the food still seemed old. Waited in line to get in, then waited again to get to the hot food area. Very poor quality- a school cafeteria mixed with a retirement home in taste and decor. On the night I went the soup and the fried chicken were the best. 1 star bumped up to 2 as the limited desserts were actually good. Note: pay close attention to the hours before going. It's a 'no lunch' schedule.

On February 2, 2019 my wife and I, along with two other couples, six total, opted for the "prime rib and shrimp feast" at the Tropicana. The food ranks right up there with one of the worst meals I've experienced. It was terrible. The prime rib was small, tasteless and the au jus didn't improve it. The shrimp were small and unpeeled and smelled bad. The crab legs were discolored and smelled bad as well. There was more fried batter than shrimp in the Cajun shrimp. Two of our group tried the jalapeno poppers - they took one bite and refused to eat any more because they simply didn't taste good. (They are native Arizonians so they know a thing or two about spicy chile and jalapenos.) We all tried the deserts. None of us finished them. One of the table mates said his tasted like cardboard - mine had the consistency of dry sawdust and was just about a favorable. We were all very disappointed with the entire fare. The seafood buffet the next day at the Aquarius was much, much better.

Ive been coming to the trop for years and i cant express my disappointment enough. The 2019 New Years feast was there seafood buffet. But it wasnt even there standard buffet the prime rib was cold there soups were had no flavor , the bread sticks hard as a rock and the desert the cakes were dry like they were out on the shelf for days. The best thing was the rootbeer float i put together. A day of celebration such as New Years and the promotional special event meal i would expect better.

Simply an awful buffet that looked really good from afar until you get close and realise it's know different at Tropicana. Didn't eat much except sausage was good and potatoes other than that forget it. Eggs were horrible just looking at them. Did a taste sample and was like yep. Nasty! Dry pancakes in which syrup couldn't even quench it's thirsts . I don't eat raw meat and there prime rib was far from cooked or perhaps it's just me but any signs of pink is usually an indication that your meat is relatively undone! Syrup was generic substitute so don't expect no butter works, log cabin or aunt jamama however you spell it lol. Better off at out back steakhouse but i could be wrong here to since it is Laughlin.
