Lark A Fare

Wonderful visit during Kansas Tiki Week for a specialty menu of classic and original tiki drinks. Ordered several items off the small plate menu, all of which were delicious. Our original tiki drinks were well mixed. The hostess, Jen, was extremely friendly and spoke with us about then participating in the week long event. The atmosphere is very trendy and inviting. Would definitely choose to eat there again.

Lark A Fare is my favorite new restaurant in Lawrence and one that ranks among the best in town! Let me start by saying this: Lark A Fare features the best cocktail menu in town, by far. As a cocktail enthusiast, it is extraordinarily exciting to see such creativity and variety in a cocktail menu. Not only that but they feature an incredible list of spirits, a list that is truly a collection to take pride in! Moving to the food menu, there are few places in town that compete with Lark A Fare. From charcuterie plates to bar snacks and appetizers to lunch and dinner entrées, I have yet to be disappointed by a single dish I’ve tried! My favorite so far is the Chicken and Dumplings. The interior is first class. Located In the spot that previously featured the highly overrated Port Fonda, little has changed inside. That’s probably the only thing Port Fonda got right and Lark A Fare didn’t have to change. The ambiance is not matched elsewhere in town. I hear that Lark A Fare serves “elevated midwestern” food. Yeah, it’s that. But it’s also so much more that. It’s an elevated dining experience from beginning to end. Great service, truly amazing drinks and food. Lark A Fare is a must for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Do not miss this place, it is Lawrence’s latest treasure!

The service is rather slow but otherwise very good. Our drinks stayed full while we waited for our food. The atmosphere is low-key with trendy foods and drinks, as well as tried and true faves. Parking is surprisingly easy as they are right across from the garage on New Hampshire. Definitely recommend.

A variety of lunch dishes with a good collection of ingredients. Everything on the menu was enticing. Went with a dip sandwich, cheese platter, and a fried chicken sandwich. The sandwiches were made with high quality meat and all aspects of the meals were delicious. Even just the breading on the chicken was some of the best. A good assortment of beverages alcoholic and non alcoholic were available. In house ice cream offered a different experience for dessert and offered a one of a kind flavors. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing gather for great food. Atmosphere was calm for a friday afternoon and let me truly taste a great meal.

Enjoyed a great dinner with family tonight. The bartender made delicious cocktails & our server, Connor, provided great service. The dinner menu is full of thought out dishes. The atmosphere overall was inviting, beautiful restaurant inside. It was fun watching the manager open a bottle of wine on the patio. We asked Matthew about the wine and he gave us some fun facts about the wine and wine makers. We will be back for sure and hopefully they'll have that wine still. Unique local restaurant.

This was our new favorite restaurant until this evening. We spent almost $200 for a group of 6. Steak was not cooked medium rare, but was medium well...more well done. They were out of rolls. The fried mushrooms were burnt. The fried chicken arrives as half a bird encased in crust and was difficult to eat. 3 of the six guests at our table mentioned too much salt on their food. This could not have been the same Chef we had before!
