Qdoba Mexican Eats

Visited this restaurant with family on 3/17/2019, Sunday for lunch between 1:20-2:20 pm. Entry is from w 23rd st. There is plenty of parking all around. The interior is relatively long and less wide. Rest room needs some maintenance, but realize some customers behave carelessly during their visit. The customer eating area has modernistic outlook with creative seats, serving plates, lighting and roofing. For customers, seating might need navigational skills. Ordering the food, paying the bill and picking up the food is like assembly line fast food approach. The menu items are posted on the wall, behind the register. Customer needs to ask the item (s) that s/he wants and one or two people will place the items as needed in plate like cups. It reminds me something like subway type of choosing items as needed. They are friendly and helpful, especially the lady behind the register who is blessed with friendly nature. The items are slightly more expensive. The entire bill came to $45. My personal order is loaded tortilla soup vegetarian. Originally, chips were not given. But, when asked chips basket was given without extra charge. Others took other items. Wife usually complains of everything outside eating, so her opinion does not necessarily count. One needs to be fair in rating, in relative to and when comparing to other restaurants. My item loaded tortilla soup is very good. Other members said same. I would give this place a dynamic rating of 4* during this visit.

This was my first time ordering from QDOBA and likely my last. First, it seemed a bit crazy that our order was going to take 50 minutes to prep but it was there busiest time of day so we ordered anyway. When we arrived to pick up our order that given it to someone else. So now we had to wait another 30 minutes for them to make our order again. They did not do a good job apologizing about their mistake. They blamed it on the other costumer and offered us 2 fountain beverages. Then the food was mediocre at best. Half of our chicken quesadilla had no chicken.
