Filling Station Bbq

This is my favorite place for BBQ. The place is small and unique, the food is standard and very consistent in quality, and the prices are pretty good as well. This happens to also be the closest BBQ to where I live so I've eaten there a lot over the last 10 years or so. I've never had a wrong order, my food is the same quality every time, and the people that work there are friendly locals. Support local businesses when possible!

First, food was pretty good. Value is my BIGGEST concern; the taste was really good. I wanted a decent bit for lunch but got a normal size meal. Ordered the large pulled pork sandwich. It was very tasty. The hot bbq sauce was a nice touch, but not really spicy. The cole slaw was GREAT. Mayonnaise based and very tasty. The jalapeño poppers were tasty but not really worth the $4 for 6 pieces IMO. Receipt and pictures of the food attached.

Thought we would try different BBQ restaurant. Got the burnt end sandwich, ham and beef sandwich with cole slaw, BBQ beans, fries, cherry and peach cobbler. The burnt end sandwich, the meat was tender and has good smoke flavor, but cut into small cubes ( i perfect big hunks). The beef and ham was tender with good flavor. The beans were ok, almost reminded me of pork and beans with BBQ sauce. Their bbq sauce was the regular and I was not a fan. Too sweet. Cole slaw was dry and flavorless. The cherry and peach cobbler were outstanding.. probably wouldn't go back.
