Lamar's Donuts And Coffee

Was craving a delicious donut experience and thats what I got. Fresh donuts that left me satisfied and wanting to go back as soon as I can. The staff was friendly and helpful. I know that because I'm always so indecisive but the staff kindly helped me choose some of my now current favorites. If I could rate a 10 star, I would.

Excellent product. But they seem to have an employee issue. They simply must hate their jobs. As I scrolled through the reviews I noticed a disturbing trend that customer service seems to be a real issue with this location. It's too bad the doughnuts can't make themselves so these employees can find a job that better suits their talents. Dealing with customers certainly isn't a strength.

I love LaMar's Donuts! Even though this location is small and out of the way, it still has the same tasty donuts! If you never had a LaMar's donut before, I would suggest getting the glazed. It is so soft and delicious! After that, it is Soo hard to choose. They have a large selection to choose from, but it is worth it!

What else does anyone really need to say about Lamars? Over the years I have gone to many of the newest donut places around the country when they appear on TV shows hyping the craziest new pastry confections, but I think they all pale compared to Lamars. I'm not really big on eating donuts loaded with candy or crushed cereal on top. I think the real test of how good someone is at making donuts is their plain glazed donut where you can really tell a difference from franchise to franchise. It was a bummer a few years back when the Lamars retired and sold the company. Prices went way up, but otherwise things have remained the same. Healthwise I can't eat donuts all the time, so on the special occasions when I decide to splurge, I don't mind paying .75 more for a Lamars donut than a grocery store donut. Any place that can still create a line of customers after being in the same location for years is a must-have in my book.

We splurged and stopped at La Mar's while out running errands today. My husband asked for three white fluff-filled chocolate iced longjohns He again specified his request.. She pointed to a tray and said the entire tray was white fluff..... . We saw one on our side of the case. Sure enough, we got home to discover all three of the long johns were filled with pudding! YUK! Threw them away.
