Sticky Sisters

Had heard about this place on the grapevine. Someone told me they did wings and a load of various sauces to go with them. I thought, what's not to love? A quick read of the online reviews nearly put me off. But I stuck with my gut (it's sizeable), and I wasn't disappointed. We arrived around 1pm Saturday afternoon and there was a couple of other groups enjoying the chilled ambience. We grabbed a booth and looked at the menu. Lots of tasty options. I chose the wings with chips, kids meal for the lad (popcorn chicken and chips), and the missus had a selection of small plates (haloumi, prawns, and nachos). Went up to the counter to order and the chap came from out the back promptly. Placed my order with no fuss, helping me out with my queries (you help yourself to the various sauces which I liked, doesn't limit your option), and explained he was flying solo so to bare with him. The food took a normal amount of time to arrive for food cooked fresh to order, about 15 minutes at a guess. But we weren't clock watching. It was all hot and delicious. The sauce selection didn't dissapoint, there's even a massive random sauce selector wheel on the wall to play with. The lad and I had fun messing with it. The nachos portion was huge, the wings were delicious, the lad ate all his meal, and the wife got loads of prawns and haloumi, all garnished with fresh salad. Top notch. There were a couple of minor general issues that could've reduced my star rating. But I enjoyed the food that much I dont want to mark them down (people are too quick to do so I think). The door was difficult to close (due to the door matt slats being broken) and this meant there was a bit of a draught, so we were a bit chilly at first. But we moved further inside closer to the heating and we were just right. The tables were also a bit dirty, cleared but in need of a wipe (bit difficult to keep on top of that if you're running a shop of this size all on your own, including cooking). So we used a baby wipe to clean down and had no issue with that, I've been to "five star" Hotels and been sat at a dirty table. TL;DR - All in all a good experience. Tasty, hot, good value food, in a chilled, friendly, fun atmosphere. Would return.
