Konak Authentic Turkish Cuisine

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Konak Leicester Turkish Cuisine to celebrate my sister's birthday May 12th. it was a delightful experience. We opted for the platters, and we were not disappointed. The starters were simply fantastic, providing an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine. The Turkish lamb and chicken shish and kofta kebab was the highlight of our meal, with excellent cuts of meat and grill that was cooked to perfection. The chops were also cooked medium rare with crispy clean juicy fat leaving us wanting more. The salads that accompanied our meal were beautifully adorned with sumac lemon and pickles, adding a burst of flavor to each bite. The attention to detail in the presentation was evident. What truly stood out during our visit was the welcoming and lovely staff. They went out of their way to make our birthday celebration special, even offering complimentary tea and baklava. The attentive service was truly appreciated. Thank you kubra and staff. Additionally, the restaurant was a haven from the hot weather outside. The air conditioning provided a cool and comfortable atmosphere, without any unpleasant grill heat or smells. Konak Leicester Turkish Cuisine consistently exceeds our expectations. From the delicious food to the excellent service and ambience, it was a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to indulge clean, fresh, satisfying authentic Turkish cuisine. We couldn’t take photos of all the food because we just dived into it straight away. Kids loved the chicken wings. Restaurant very friendly and welcoming for children. Staff made bday cake candle with fresh kunefe.

Konak has become of the most prominent Turkish restaurants in Leicester. Many follow the same pattern - grilled meat, fresh bread and dips with olives, well-dressed salads and a selection of desserts. Having eaten here a few times, the food, service and busy atmosphere are always of a good standard. As one would expect it is also a clean place. For larger groups at busier times, a reservation would be worthwhile. This restaurant always has a steady stream of customers. This is in walking distance of the train station up London Road and is situated in an area dominated by eateries and dessert places.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and came here as a first experience and what a treat! The food portions are plentiful and very tasty. I love that you can see the chef cooking and he seemed like he was brilliant. The people who work there were all very friendly and really helpful. We will definitely be returning and really happy to have found this gem.

Food is always delicious and consistent every time we eat here! We were party of 8, food arrived together so we could all eat at the same time and each individual loved their selection of food including the children! Staff are very attentive, efficient and polite. A shout out to the young hijabi lady (wearing a headscarf) who attended to us yesterday evening - nothing was too much trouble and was extremely courteous. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Landed here accidentally while wanting to go somewhere else that just was closed. Waiting time without booking was 15 minutes’ team is really Nice. Ambience is attractive just like any Turkish restaurant. Starters & Main courses both were amazing. Sujuk with Haloumi grilled and pinned over bed of rockets was delight to taste buds. Chicken Beyti good portion size ‘ but the prize winner was Ali Nazik! Beautiful dish with the delicacy of Greek yogurt and under bed of Eggplant smoked mesh & Sizzling… U will love each bite and thank me later… Enjoy the end note with Morrocon Tea if u fancy 🙂

I've visited here on a few previous occasions however, managed to take a picture and leave a review. We went on a busy evening and was seated in the waiting area to look at the menu whilst we waited for our table. The food was good as seen in the picture, the service was ok as the waiters were rushed off their feet as the restaurant was at full capacity. Overall, good evening.

Went by yesterday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the staff were super friendly and helped us every time we asked for help. The Halloumi Salad was particularly delicious and we had that come out first so did have a nibble along with the lovely breads - The food was lightly spiced and enjoyable. I’m more of a meat eater but the chicken wings were the most delicious on this occasion. The chips were lovely! Wish the asked us how the food was in the middle of dinner as no one came - we actually wanted more of our drinks but as we had water on the table didn’t want to make a scene. We did have to call for assistance but they were incredibly busy that evening. They managed to seat us within 20mins which we we’re grateful for. Would love to come again. Would be great if they had a larger option of drinks and mocktails seeing we we’re approaching festive season or for our celebrations. But all in all a pleasant experience.
