Good pub, well served ales (thwaites which is unusual for the area) of which were on. Focuses on food and a clean modern "scottishesque" feel inside. The front of the pub from the road looks a bit tired which may put some people off, could use a lick of paint as it is not way representative of the inside.

Had the most amazing family Sunday dinner. Portions were huge- great value for money. Service was excellent and everything was reasonably priced and delicious. Best Sunday dinner we have had out in years! Will definitely be back x

We went on a busy Friday evening and were never left waiting despite this. Staff were super efficient and friendly. When the food arrived it was cooked beautifully and full of flavour. My canine companions also enjoyed a feast of their own which is a lovely touch (reference photo for the doggie dinners)

This 750 year old pub,is warm cosy and inviting.we received a very nice greeting on entering. The place was very clean.staff are polite and friendly, the food is excellent,and the portions are MASSIVE.!!
They have a very good menu,at very reasonable prices. Some of the tastiest food I,ve ever eaten.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The outstanding hot and cold Christmas style buffet . I cannot congratulate the staff enough!

We love this Pub. Staff are realky helpful and Polite. We had our Family Christmas Meal last week and it was Beautiful.

We had a steak, fish and burger. Burger and steak were OK but the fish looked like it was bought in, didn't taste fresh.
Drinks were OK, the waitresses were to busy chatting away. Other than that the place is really nice

Went back as they had had a refurbishment. Felt lovely & cosy as you walked inside & it was lovely compared to how it was before! Staff very friendly & service was good. We both had the Sunday lunch of pork & beef but we very sad say we were very disappointed as most of it was frozen ☹️we wanted extra gravy & we were charged £1.50 for a tiny jug! 🤔 sorry won't be going back. Fresh roasties etc & Yorkshire pudding don't take too much to make from scratch do they 😂😏 & they taste sooo much better!!!
