Dawat On Tawa

This is my second time visiting this restaurant. Food was great. We ordered 3 platters/Tawa 1 samudri/ seafood tawa, Desi tawa and Indo Chinese tawa for 6 of us. The portion sizes were pretty good but we couldn’t finish it. Make sure you order the correct size so the food doesn’t get wasted. They also offered us complimentary food Pani puri, papdi chat and papadum which was amazing. We waited 20 minutes for the food. Toilets are available. We struggled to find a parking space but you can find the parking lot nearby the train station.

Went there just after 5.30 pm so it wasn't very busy. Ordered Chicken drumstick for starters, charsi karahi, nihari, biryani for mains. Food came out in about 20 mins...must say food was really good and was very pleased with the quality and quantity. They also give complimentary Pani Puri with starters. 100 recommended.

If you love Asian food than I would highly recommend Dawat restaurant Is one of the best restaurant in Leicester, The food is really mouthwatering, also the Tawa theme is Excellent here. Dawat is also coming up with new dishes in public on Order on Occasion like birthday, engagement, reception party etc. Staffs and their services are very good. Even In the busy time they give full attention to every table. This is not my first visit and In Sha Allah it won’t be my last.

Located on Highfield Street, just off London Road, the nearest parking is in Victoria Road, which charges £2.00 for the whole evening. The restaurant offers a good selection of Asian cuisine, but the highlight is the Tawa meal for 2/3/4. Served on a large serving dish called tawa, there are three platters to choose from - Asian, Indo-Chinese and Seafood (samundari). We have tried all three over our multiple visits - food was excellent - authentic with liberal portion sizes. The service is good and staff friendly. The ambiance could be better - we experienced cold draft from where we were seated. Overall it was a great culinary experience.
