Big Oyster Brewery

Such a cool space and as soon as we walked in we were greeted in a way that immediately makes you feel at home. Loved the atmosphere mixed with great drinks & food! This was stop 1 on the brew crawl we made for a family weekend and the strawberry and cherry vanilla sours had such a great unique flavor profile to them! The Pilsner was delicious and we had a beer (the name escapes me) that came with an orange slice that we were in love with! The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were AMAZING and the giant pretzel dipped in the queso couldn’t be beat! Really loved it here from start to finish.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying various brews from Big Oyster Brewery in the past, but we never had the chance to stop by their brewery in Lewes, Delaware until this visit! Not only is their brewery (located on Kings Highway) an excellent place to stop by and try some of their different beers, but is also an option to stop at for lunch or dinner. We had finally had a few minutes to stop quickly on the way to Cape Henlopen to watch the sunset, so we didn’t have a chance to dine there or sample all they have to offer, but we did pick up a few 4-packs to go! I decided to pick up their Soft Serve Birthday Cake and Marshmallow Sour Ale (which was INCREDIBLE) and the Gobsmack Hazelnut Porter while my husband grabbed their Hammerhead West Coast Style IPA. As usual, their beers exceeded all expectations!

Really cool space, and loved the beers! I'm a big sour beer fan, and they had a lot of options. I ish they had more options in cans, but they do offer growlers if all beers. Only thing we ate was the charcuterie board, which was packed with cheese! The menu options did look very good though, hopefully I can make it back at some point to try more food, as well as more beers.
