Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

This place absolutely has the rudest employees. I have been to this location several times when visiting the Lewes area and have never once been greeted by anyone that was remotely friendly. They have great food but unfortunately the staff ruins their reputation. I called a little over an hour before closing time to place an order for 2 sandwiches only to have someone answer the phone and say "Capriotti's we are closed" and then hang up on me. I will be sure to take my business elsewhere in the future.

This is a family owned sub shop chain. I have been a fan of Capriotti's for over thirty years. I've eaten at most of their locations. This location maintains the same high quality as all the other locations. Their subs are huge as well as tasty. My wife and I split a medium Bobbie. The Bobbie is a turkey sub with cranberry sauce and stuffing. It's kind of a Thanksgiving meal in a sub. It was as delicious as I expected it to be. The medium sub at Capriotti's is as big as a large sub in most other sub shops. The large sub is enough for three or four meals.

Spent the morning at the beach and were hoping to place an online order to pick up on the way back to our hotel, but online ordering was turned off. Tried to call, but got a busy signal. Went in to the store and there was a line through the whole shop. Turned out they had turned off online ordering because they were short handed and were only filling orders for people that came inside. The person taking the orders was very nice and honestly they were quite efficient at making the sandwiches. I thought for sure I was going to end up waiting a half hour to get through the line, but ultimately ended up being only 10-15 minutes. Was not particularly impressed by the sandwiches though. They were a pretty standard Italian sub, I've had better elsewhere.
