Best pub in Lewes! Really good cheesey chips, the sticky toffee pudding is a must! Staff always friendly, good range of alcohol, cosy atmosphere, really lovely pub garden.

Great place to have a weekend meal, nice and relaxed atmosphere for all! Beautiful garden area. The food is exquisitely prepared and delicious! Good selection of draft beers and ciders

Nice old pub with friendly staff and busy atmosphere. Very difficult to get a table so recommend that you book in advance. Food was okay but nothing special (I had a special but it was rather bland and probably mashed up leftovers from the day before). I would go back but only if booked and with lowered expectations 🥰

A very good pub tucked away outside of the centre and Lewes. Being a Harvey’s pub there was a small selection of their ales and also their Pilsner and Wharf IPA on keg. All priced reasonably well.
The food was pretty good too with the chicken tikka burger and marinated chicken both very tasty.
The garden is nice too towards the back and quite wild. Service was quite friendly too.

Lovely atmosphere in this beautiful pub. Staff are friendly, food is good and the garden is lovely. Only thing that brought it down a little were the desserts, as the sticky toffee pudding was a bit tough and the cheesecake a bit too sickly. Still would be my go-to pub :)

I stopped here, for lunch, on a hiking & camping trip with my dog.
The staff were pleasant, attentive and welcoming.
They found me a nice shady table in the garden, fetched a water bowl and treats for my dog.
A very relaxing pint of Harvey's bitter, accompanied by an excellent fish finger sandwich set me up nicely, for the afternoon hike to the campsite.
Will definitely be calling in, again, the next time I'm in town

A true Lewes Gem!
Great atmosphere and lovely staff!
An absolutely stunning beer garden.
Food is always cooked and presented great with a chalk board of specials which change often.
The bar always plays vinyls with their sleeves on the bar for people to see when there's not live music or DJ sets playing.
And if that hasn't won you over, they're super dog friendly.
Highly worth the visit.

Lovely pub with a spacious pub garden. We had a Sunday roast and it was delicious with lots of veggie options - 3! (not in picture.) Though they have walk in tables, I recommend to book ahead to get a guaranteed seat.

Delicious food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere! We had a smoked salmon fillet and the jerk chicken, both off the specials board, and both of which were delicious. Reasonable prices, and good drinks too. Can't fault it!
