West Coast Gourmet Pizzeria

Have only ordered here once so far (carry out). Tried it for their whole wheat crust which was fine. Pizza was average to slightly above. Pepperoni was really good, cheese was just 'normal'. Online ordering was a bit frustrating because the time estimates were wildly off. Luckily, I called the store and he confirmed the pie would be ready in about 10 minutes, not the 50 minutes from the online (DoorDash?) ordering.

We order from West Coast probably 1-3 times a month. We love this place. The pizza just has a good feel, it tastes fresh made and with good quality ingredients. This is not a greasy pizza. The calzones are huge. The sandwiches are delish and they never skimp on toppings. I feel like this is a relatively small pizza chain. The delivery man is as sweet as they come and gives you a couple hard candies! Seems like such a small gesture, but we appreciate it. Really reminds me of the little pizza places in my small hometown in PA. Real people who have dedicated their lives to this business. We always joke that we keep them in business, but honestly everyone should be inclined to try it at least once. They also offer unique toppings and recipes that are uncommon in other pizza joints. I can also really appreciate that. They also give ranch dip as a default instead of marinara or garlic dip, but you can still order them. And I swear on my life their breadsticks can be life changing! They're our go to for when we can't agree on what to eat, and I wish I had pictures to share. We have been ordering from them regularly for 2 years--so we definitely are lifelong customers. I actually feel bad that it's taken me this long to think to write a review for them because we've been good customers, but they've been an even better business!

Though in the past the food was good, i recently had a terrible time trying to order both online and then over the telephone. This issue appears to be only at the newer Nicholasville road location, as i do not recall any of these troubles at the Fortune Drive location. It is unfortunate, but i will likely not order from them again.

After my family had a very bad experience with the new Caucasian girl about 11 months ago at the fortune drive location, we have refused to ever use this company again after having eaten here for many years. The owners do not care about how their staff treats their customers. We ate at Penn Station last night and got the exact same subs we used to get from here. Not only were they cheaper, but they were fulfilling, delicious, and SO flavorful. I urge everyone to leave this place behind and visit penn station for your subs and other locally owned places for your pizzas!!! Other places practice much for healthier hygiene anyway!
