Sharp's Candies, Inc

Sharp’s is a very small candy shop with a very cute outside decor of a gingerbread house. I love their cream chocolates and I always grab a box when I’m there. Also after you buy some candy they give you a free piece of candy. However, the prices have gone up and it is quite expensive. I do like the option of shipping the chocolates to me on their website since I do not live close by.

Best chocolate in Lexington by far and I'm addicted to their mixed nuts! (I mix a bag with a bag of Gardetto's snack mix...SO. GOOD.) Their nuts are perfectly salted, roasted, tender and big. No remnant bits/pieces or puny sizes. I've tried other store-bought mixed nuts but these are exceptional. I know people complain about the prices but I don't mind paying a little more for quality. Worth every penny!

Lexington and the surrounding area is full of options to buy candies, but Sharps Candies easily rises above all others. Not only do they have all usual confections, but some of my diabetic friends claim that their sugar free candies are outstanding. While everything is delicious, you have got to try their dark chocolate toffee. Even if you are one who typically does not like dark chocolate, I encourage you to try it. You will buy a box guaranteed! (sometimes they have free samples if you ask) I recommend Sharps Candies with absolutely no reservations. I know because I have been a faithful customer for over 25 years!

The kids loved it because of the outside gingerbread house paint on the building is cute and inviting however, my wallet sure wasn't happy. By the time four kids and myself picked out a few things each and the kids got the little cheap kiddie candy stuff that they didn't even make there, I had spent 84 dollars! And I mean it was kind of worth it only because of the smiles on my kids' faces and they really enjoyed it. But other than that... No, totally not worth it. Not a very good selection for one, but other than that, the outside of the store is deceiving. Because, when you go in, the actual store is only about 25% of the whole space. The rest is kitchen space. Which I don't really understand why they would need that much kitchen space when they only have a selection of chocolates that they actually made on a wall only about 40 ft long if that. I mean call me biased or whatever because I am from Reno Nevada and grew up a few miles from The Chocolate Factory in Washoe Valley NV and went up to Virginia City at least once a year where they have the ultimate best candy shops and them making it on display in the window for all to see is one of my best memories as a child and having been born in San Jose California and going to visit family there at least once a year going to the Santa Cruz boardwalk where they make salt water taffy right before your eyes to, I guess my expectations were to high. 🤷 All I can say is come on Lexington, you can do better than that. Smh
