Southland Bowling Lanes

Don’t play the arcade games. I drove in from out of town hoping to enjoy some karaoke bowling and arcade games. After filling my game card of $26 all the games I play specially the shooting game with two players. The machine shut off on me and my friends 4 times which caused us to lose money. There is no sign on the machine that says this will shut off in the middle of you playing the game. There is no sign that says no refunds because at this point I’m very upset about my money being wasted after buying drinking and paying for bowling this establishment was stealing my money at this point. I asked for a refund or reimbursement for the money that was stolen and they gave every excuse why they couldn’t be courteous enough to give me back my money. I will not recommend going to this alley just for the Aracde because it was a total rip off. Now I have 20 remaining dollars on this card and can’t ever use it unless I come back to Lexington. This experience was dreadful especially after the guy told me I shouldn’t have put that much money on a card. I did because I thought I would enjoy myself without the machines shutting down on me. Thanks.

Enjoyed going there! Staff was nice and helpful, felt pretty clean for a bowling alley. Two tips though! First: The pricing online and in-person are a little different, from what I could understand - or at least it felt that way. I understand why booking online is convenient for all parties, but the options were much more limited in terms of the number of hours or lanes you could reserve for. I also couldn't tell if I needed to reserve shoes or not? Second: Weekend nights are suuuuuper busy, I wouldn't even bother if you haven't made a reservation. But we went on a Sunday afternoon (3ish) and were able to walk right in with no wait. Less crowded too! Would give 5 stars if the online reservation system was less confusing and easier to use!

Had a good time. Went during a time where there was little wait, they will text you when your number is up. There is a full service bar and concessions area while you wait, along with a mini-arcade area. The lanes and balls are about what you would expect for the pricing, however, novice and pro-level bowlers will both appreciate the upkeep of the lanes compared to some other local options with bowling that might be higher priced or have other attractions in them.

My boyfriend and I went here to bowl and play some pool. We did what we needed to access everything, including my boyfriend handing his ID to get the pool cues. We went along our day here and after we were done and left the place we realized he never got his ID back (it should have been returned when we have back the pool cues because we gave those back to the same person who gave them to us). We called and they said to come down and get it. However, when my boyfriend arrived to get his ID, they said they couldn’t find it. He waited about 45 minutes as they were trying to find it and they still couldn’t find it. So, naturally the best thing to do in this situation is to call the police in order to make sure nobody else had stolen it and to protect his identity. My boyfriend left the bowling alley with little to no hope that it would ever be found, considering how long they were taking to not even find it. Fortunately, the next day it was found and was returned to him. Overall an EXTREMELY poor look on their part. We took care of and returned their equipment, but they failed to do the same.

They put my group (3 adult men in their mid-30s) sandwiched right between a family with kids and an entire little league team who somehow shared a single lane. There were plenty of open lanes. Clearly didn't read the room. Snack bar food was good, though! To be fair, I think all bowling alleys should have an area for the serious bowler types, an area for (loud) kids, and an area for everyone else. Oh well. We'll try again.
