Mi Casa

Used to eat here a lot, but the service and food went downhill a while back and I haven't been in a while, except maybe once a few months ago. It wasn't good then bit I thought I'd give it one more shot. Placed an order for pickup tonight, and it was ready on time. Didn't get all my food, but didn't realize until I got home, so I'll take the blame for that one. Truthfully, the food wasn't that good. Tastes like run of the mill Mexican food. Granted, it wasn't necessarily as fresh as it might be in the restaurant, but the real issue was the handful of bones I had in my AC Carnitas. I realize sometimes it happens, but after I bit into the first two pieces of bone, I looked for and found more (added a picture). Not really acceptable in my opinion. Highly doubt I'll be back. Tried to give this place a few chances but it's...just not good.

Took almost 2 hours to get our food also my wife ordered a water and that took 20 minutes to get and I had received my drink also and even let the waitress know after about 5 to 10 minutes that my wife didn't receive her water. Then after we did get her water and our alcohol I had to send mine back because my long island had stuff floating in it. Finally received our food which was mediocre I wouldn't brag on it but it wasn't that bad just better options in my opinion. I really would like to give them a second chance just to see if the service would be better but don't know if it's worth the time. The customers at the other table got up and walked out because it was taking way to long to receive drinks and honestly was a couple times we almost got up and left but I kept wanting to give them a chance.

Salsa was nasty, orders were wrong. My husband ordered a dish and asked for no guacamole(he’s allergic). The dish was covered in it. My dish was supposed to be beef/steak and I was brought chicken. FIL ordered the special and the steak was undercooked and rubbery. Staff wasn’t very pleasant and was rude when dishes were sent back for being incorrect. The dishes were brought back on the same plates as well. Save yourself and don’t eat here.

My co-worked and I have gone here 3 times in the past 10 days because we’ve been here for work, and Lexington is pretty limited in food options. We kept going back to this particular Mexican restaurant (there’s several in the town), because of the speed of the service and the additional “lite” menu option of food that’s cooked in less oil that other options. It says on the menu the food is cooked without any oil if it’s from the lite option list, but I will say there was still a fair amount of oil. The salsa is great, and the staff is also friendly. Our server Ronnie was a very kind young man who was incredibly personable and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our dinner.
