Louie’s Wine Dive

I've been to Louie's Wine Dive three times now and overall it is a great restaurant with unique and delicious food. 1st Visit (4/29/18) - everything was divine! Only issue was they were out of a few things (ex: scallops), so the full menu was not available. 2nd Visit (5/6/18) - there were a few issues. The cheese plate came out with mold on it, and when we asked if it was supposed to be a "moldy" cheese the waiter said no and took the plate back right away and replaced it with a fresh one. Also, on the same visit one of our entrees (Thousand Dollar Chicken) was missing the asparagus. For the $18 (now $19) price point, I definitely wanted the asparagus and the waiter again corrected the issue. 3rd Visit (6/8/18) - I went with a girlfriend and got one of the seasonal dishes, a crabmeat pasta. It was so terrible with no flavor that I genuinely wonder how it made it on their menu. However, the waiter graciously insisted that I order a new dish so I ordered the Champagne Fish & Chips. I had this dish before so I knew would be good. **************************************[ FOOD ]******************************************* Their menu changes seasonally, but some of the popular items are always on there. Here are the items I've tried over those three visits: {BLT Deviled Eggs} - no longer on the menu which is sad because they were so good! {Garlic Black Pepper Calamari} - the batter was so light and airy, and they already come GF which is rare for calamari! {Grilled Guacamole} - I'm not sure what I was expecting by 'grilled', maybe grilled slices of avocado, but it's basically just guacamole. Very good guacamole, but the grilled part is misleading... {Champagne Fish & Chips} - we could not believe these were GF, they were soooo good!!! They use rice flour and similar to the calamari, the batter was so light, not heavy at all like other fried fish. The tartar sauce was also yummy. Thank goodness they seem to be staying on the menu... {4 Pork Gnocchi} - another delicious dish and also still on the menu! {Cauliflower au Gratin} - cheesy goodness! {Crispy Pecan Brussels Sprouts} - if you like Brussels sprouts, order these!!! {Thousand Dollar Chicken} - it's the most expensive item on their regular menu but only comes with the chicken & asparagus (no potato, rice, etc), so the $19 price point seems high to me for the portion size, but gosh it's sooo good that I can hardly stay away... {Shrimp & Grits} - my friend got this so I tried a bite and it was glorious!!! It's on their summer seasonal menu so definitely try it while you can!

Visited for Monday Happy Hour All Day. Great service for our group of 16 people. Tried the pineapple tuna nachos, squeaky cheese, and bacon brussel sprouts. All were very flavorful, although the portions were a bit small for the price. Large list of wines & specialty drinks to choose from. Will definitely return.

Louie’s Wine Dive, Liberty Mo. I love the atmosphere. The interior is roomy and open. Nicely decorated. A nice selection of wines and cocktails. We’ve eaten there a few times and it’s always been good. A wee bit pricey, but a nice place. Amazing atmosphere. Ate here for lunch. We had a lovely glass of wine; a great appetizer of cheeses, meats, and bread; had a main course of chicken sandwich with fries; and topped it off with a chocolate dessert to die for. Would definitely recommend for date night. There's also a patio adjacent to the water fountain with tables and fire pits. A great place to gather with friends and try new wines!

Louie’s finally comes to the northland! What’s your number(meaning how many does bottomless mean to you,(I’ll keep my number to myself!)) Brunch and bottomless mimosas done in such a classy way! Place is eloquent and the atmosphere is amazing! Staff friendly and able to answer all questions with full knowledge. Coming for brunch, lunch or dinner, Louie’s has your fix!

The interior was very clean and bright. The ceilings are quite high as are the front windows, which brings in a lot of light, which in some areas flows through wine bottles in racks. I had a Cabernet, which was good and matched my expectations for the $13 glass. For dinner, we started with deviled eggs, which were outstanding and presented on a very pleasing plank. I had the jambalaya -- the roux could have been thicker but I'm being picky. I did like the presentation. My wife had the chicken sandwich and was pleased with it. For dessert, we split a pineapple upside down cake. It was presented in a small black iron frying pan, which was surprising and cool. The staff was very chipper and attentive. We will be back and it's a good meeting place for friends,
