Manna Bakery & Deli

I love supporting local businesses as I own one, so when I'm looking for a place to eat I want to try the local fare. While in this neighborhood, I found this family owned bakery and deli! Two of my favorite things - sandwiches and baked goods! Their bread is baked in house and is also sold in loaves. I had the tuna sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, purple onions, and banana pepper. As you can see, it was a worthy dagwood and was as delicious as it looks. The choices for baked goods are many. They have everything from cookies and cakes to turnovers and pies. Yum. I got two peanut butter cookies and two ginger snap, one of my favs that are hard to find. They didn't disappoint. The ginger cookies are some of the best, if not the best, I've ever had; large, thick, meaty, and chewy. So good. Ironically, though ordinary, this is an old fashioned, down to earth, simple but quality, refreshing change from the ordinary, if that makes sense.

I traveled from Kansas and researched many bakeries. The experience from the research to picking up and eating the dessert I ordered was impeccable! They made the most delicious gluten free German chocolate cake my family has had other than the one I make. It was fresh, moist, and tasty. I also bought some other goodies while I picked up my custom order and everything I brought back to my family was enjoyed! The staff was super cheerful and happy to answer any questions I had. I needed GF treats and they had a few and all were delicious. I will definitely order again and can’t wait to try more things.

Yum! Visited this bakery yesterday (Monday) around early afternoon. They weren’t busy, but had a consistent flow of customers. The display case is large and showed off all of their baked goods ranging from cupcakes, bars, eclairs, turnovers, etc. They even have a deli with a wide selection. I purchased the strawberry cupcake, along with an iced sugar cookie, and a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie. The cupcake was delicious; moist crumb with a sweet and fluffy frosting (not too sweet). The cookie is thick, with a smooth coating of icing. It crumbles perfectly when you take a bite. And the pie is amazing! Crust is tender and buttery, it flaked nicely. Filling is sweet and tangy (again, not too sweet!). The service was great, and I didn’t feel rushed into making a selection. I’d go back the next time I am in the area.
