Donut Hut Cafe

I have been coming to this place for years. They have the best donuts in town. Especially the cherry raised. The staff has always been pleasant and prompt. Even calling to remind me when I forgot to pick up my order. If you find you are arriving too late to get the kind you like you can always call the night before and leave an order and then pick it up the next morning. It doesn't have to be a big order, but that way you can always get your yummy goodness.

I've have been going to the Donut hut for many years on my way to work. I stop in the other day and found out that they have change ownership... I have to say, I was blown away with the new fresh taste of the glazed donuts. What ever the new owner does to his donuts " Keep it going" I will definitely be back as a customer and support the new family owned business.

Oh no. I was so bummed to hear that the Donut Hut closed down and a new shop took over. So many great memories from when I was a kid. We have a lady that brings us donuts once a week here in Vail, and I was even considering making the trek down to try and outdo her. Back when my dad used to work nights, one thing I remembered him mentioning several times was driving home from work he'd see the guy coming in super early in the morning and working away inside the Donut Hut on his way home. You guys will definitely be missed. :(

Unfortunately Donut Hut is no longer The Donut Hut I know or anybody else knows for that matter. I'm not sure what happened but they have a new ownership. They are very friendly but the donuts are not the same. I was surprised to walk in and find it all different. Donuts are mediocre and I will never go there again. If you expect the old Donut Hut well don't even go because it's not there anymore. I'm thoroughly bummed. Today is a sad day in the donut world.

I took my family this morning to try out the "under new ownership" Donut Hut, first impressions were not good. We ordered a breakfast sandwich that was on the menu board, in fact 1/4 of the menu board, and they said they don't have them.....Noticed they no longer serve Dazbog coffee, my favorite. The donuts were tasty but not any better than previous. For my money I'll be driving a little longer down the road to Lamars. Sad as we've been going to Donut Hut for around 14 years since we moved here.
