Chubby's

Absolute trash. We were just there and waited 20 minutes for a completely wrong order. We were 1 of 3 cars in the drive through that just sat there for about 5 minutes to even have someone take our order. We ordered a large Chile cheese fry with chicharron and half and half GREEN Chile, as well as a #4 combo. The chicharrons on both Chile cheese fries were cold, stale and spongy. The Chile on both fries were RED chile, even though we double confirmed with the teenager taking our order two separate times. What a disappointing way to spend $20. Save your money and go further up federal for better hole in the wall Mexican food. Such a shame to call yourselves chubbys lmao. Can’t even finish it, gag.

We purchased a few breakfast burritos before hike. They got the customization on the burritos wrong, but we dealt with that. However the cheese that they put on there was cold and made the entire burrito cold. The burrito itself was very salty. The hot chili that we requested was mild at best. I had a different burrito at another Chubby's that was amazing, but I guess they don't all have the same quality. Additionally, the wait for 3 breakfast burritos was almost 20 minutes and there was only one person in front of us when we arrived. I would not recommend this place for breakfast burrito or if you're in a hurry.

I went a couple months back and was the only car in the drive thru line. It took 15 minutes for 3 breakfast burritos. The chili tasted like the roux was burnt. I decided to give it another shot thinking that was a one off and went today. I arrived at 9:30am and sat at the ordering board. I waited for a few minutes with no response and decided to drive up to the building. The lights were off and nobody was there. This will be the last time I attempt to eat at Chubby's.

I've been coming here for a while and the little things that are slipping are starting to be noticeable. The straw was when I received 5 salsas for 9 Tacos. My only real issue is the salsa containers are smaller... totally cool.... but then they're only half filled. I was able to take 3 of the salsa I received and condensed them into one. This is pretty disappointing

Chorizo, egg, and potato breakfast burrito? Fantastic. Chile rellenos? Off the walls delicious. Chili cheese fries? To die for. Steak? Nope. It tastes like dog food. Literally. Like walmart brand canned dog food, and believe me I know (brother made me eat a spoonful because I lost a bet, but that's another story for another time). I grew up going to this Chubby's location and it's still one of my all time favorite restaurants. But they desperately need to either take the steak off or up its game because it is NOT worth the $6 for it. This review would be 5 stars if not for the steak.
