I’ve only lived in San Antonio for 8 months and was looking for a good breakfast place. Today on my day off I ordered from Jim’s for the first time delivery and found hair in between my pancakes as I was cutting them and eating! FIRST IMPRESSION ARE EVERYTHING AND I WONT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!!

Hey. I love this place. I love there food. And staff is friendly with me always. If ever they get my order wrong they make it right. But that really does not happean. Pretty much I get what I order and hot. Also there pricing is very reasonable. I never had a problem here. I been coming here for many years.

If you are looking for a San Antonio diner experience Jim's should be top of your list. Going back to my college days in the 80s, Jim's has been a go to stop for, especially late night fare for family and friends. Some top dishes are the fried mushrooms with gravy which are delicious, but beware the first couple of bites as they will be super hot. My personal fave is the club sandwich which I get with Texas Toast and onion rings (another great dish). You really haven't lived until you try a slice of apple pie with their cinnamon ice cream though.

The cook seemed liked he hated his job. I ordered chicken fried steak. Overcooked, greasy and half was to tough to even chew. Sat in window for over 15 minutes so it was cold by the time delivered to table. Mac and cheese tasted watered down with little flavor. Tea tasted like water from pond. Truly nasty. Currently suffering heartburn and nausea from food. Do not recommend this location. Only positive was waitress attempting to do her best under poor conditions.
