Ritz Diner

PROS: This diner was a very well ran diner. It's been around for decades and the staff here is very nice. The owner works hard their with her staff unlike other owners who sit home and let the business operate itself. Food was priced well, menu had a lot on it, it came out fast as well CONS: They didn't do a good job at wiping down some tables. They're also blocking off their entrance with a tent and people have to leave and enter at the same side which could cause a problem squeezing in, especially off the highway OVERALL: Excellent diner to come to, i highly suggest it. Just make sure your table is wiped and you proceed with caution when entering parking lot

The real Jersey diner experience, from the massive, oversized, menu featuring hundreds of dishes, to loud waitresses and disco fries. They also have an on premise bakery, which features absolutely ginormous black and white cookies, linzer cookies that can be a dessert for four, and delicious babkas. But, the best dish of all, hidden on the last page of the menu - a corned beef sandwich with 2 latkes instead of bread. It's divine!

I like it here. Back when i first moved to jersey, i didnt get the hype about diners. I thought with all the hype it meant it was offering michelin level food and high fine dining. Thats not what this is. Its about community. Its about comfort. Its about knowing this is your spot to go when you dont feel like cooking. Your kids spot to go to after school or hang outs. Its where you take your little ones for a chocolate waffle because you want to celebrate. And its always going to be there. The food is good but its not gonna be like one of these flashy new spots with new fusion stuff. But its good, and its the local spot. Where youll most likely bump into friends and your kids friends. Where the same sweet old couple will be at the booth and when you walk by, they smile sweetly at you and comment about how precious your kid is. Where one day ill be the old man in the booth commenting on how the next generation is so cute. I didnt know that when i first moved here and rated it a 3 star. I know better now. Itll always be here for you and your friends and your community with good old fashioned comfort food and the occasional new dish if you feel like getting spicy.
