Windy City Tea

Wonderful shop with amazing owners. I went in to purchase a gift for my mom. I am not a tea drinker, but thought I’d give the cute shop a try. The owners were extremely informative, friendly, and patient with all the questions I asked. They spent a lot of time explaining the different flavors, benefits of them, and directions on how to brew properly. I will definitely be visiting this store again!

Attended shower for my friend and had a lovely afternoon tea party. Despite being tucked away in a mall, the shop was quaint with nice bright decor. The food was delicious with a variety of tea sandwiches, scones and fresh fruit. Phil, the owner took great care of the party, but was not obtrusive. I highly recommend for a girls outting or holding a shower.

Tea Master Phil Moy creates an uniquely peaceful atmosphere within a busy mall. We enjoyed two visits during our stay. The Tea Canal offers a wide variety of teas, and Phil patiently guided us toward selections geared toward our own personal wishes. He suggested a cookie and fruit dish and complimented our tea. Our second stay was behind the curtain, at mid store. This area has an intimate feel for quiet converstion. We purchased some wonderful items, at great prices, for our return home. I truly wish the Tea Canal was closer to Raleigh than Chicago. I highly recommend this lovely setting and the committed staff.

A relaxing, intimate atmosphere for having a cup of tea from their fabulous selection. Tea servings are the size of a pot of tea and you are given refills! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. A fabulous assortment of teapots and accoutrements are there to pick from as well. Groups of all types are welcomed and menu varieties offerred. Located in the mall across from Best Buy. Very highly recommended.

Such an amazing find! There is plenty of seating available just to buy a cup of tea and to sit and relax. Whether you are tired from walking the mall or if you just come in for tea, Tea Canal is a great little spot. We were able to meet the new manager Phil and his wife who were both very humble and welcoming. We were able to try their new promotion of a scone plate with a pot of tea which was so delicious, my sister and I had to fight for the last bite. Definitely will be visiting again! (Blood orange, Peach Oolong, and Raspberry Matcha were the teas we enjoyed)

I took my wife and our young daughter for high tea on a Sunday afternoon and it was a relaxing time. The owners took their time explaining the types of tea to us and answered all our questions. The sandwiches and desserts tasted great and the owners made sure to refill the plate whenever we ran out of something. Highly recommend!
