Shelby's Food Express

This is my first time visit . After my son’s recommendation. Shawarma box was amazing , specially the small roll was out of the world . I was not happy with the service as we waited more than 25min . They were getting more online order I believe that’s the reason service was slow . I don’t like shawarma bowl as the chicken was less in quantity . Overall experience was good . I would recommend shawarma and onion ring with garlic sauce .

Tried the traditional chicken shawarma wrap and a large bowl. Although I had a lot of hope for the shawarma, it was just okay. The bowl however was pretty good. The rice was flavourful and sauces went well along with the meats and other topping. Definitely enjoyable. Shawarma - 3.5/5 (Compared to many better shawamas in the GTA) Bowl - 5/5 Service - 4.5/5 I just wish they put the cooked meat from the spit onto the shawarma rather than having it sit in a separate container.

The people who gave reviews of being "disappointed" have low-key bad taste or have too high expectations. So don't take their reviews seriously. The food was delicious to me and a lot of people including my family. Though ofc it isn't THAT high up there due to the hype, it is still good food. Delicious! Around 3.7/5 to 4.5 out of 5. And different people have different expectations so go ahead and try this place! And see for yourself if you like it or not.

This is one of many visits to Shelby’s. First time in London. Easy to choose menu with great images to make it easier to understand what you get. Rather than lettuce they need to have parsley for a more authentic middle eastern taste however it’s still good. Food is nicely prepared in front of you and they have great packaging. It’s very hands off as you order with a tablet and the only interaction with staff is when they call your number and you pick up your food. I can’t really assess service as within the limited interaction it was minimal and nothing special although they were polite and friendly. Atmosphere is nice. Bigger and better parking options compared to the Windsor location We ordered chicken shawarma wraps falafels salad, pita and hummus along with soft drinks. Overall it’s good and clean.

Once a week at least, my son and I, or both of us eat at Shelby’s. This past Sunday they had a special event where the first 50 people get a free Boutin ( Egyptian Poutine) and 50% of whatever we ordered. The atmosphere was electric with “Shwarma Man” loudly welcoming everyone and admonishing anyone who made the bad decision to ask for ketchup for their food. We have found the food to be very flavourful and a good quantity for the money you pay. The ingredients are fresh and the service always very good. Occasionally the service is slower but that can be attributed to the crowds of people that come here for lunch. We have eaten in and taken out from several Shelby’s locations and find consistency across the board. We have eaten bowls, wraps, salads and rice dishes and loved the flavours. Only one of the Shelby’s that we have been in has seating for more than 20. Most have small tables with chairs or stool for 10 or less, but most of the time we grab and go anyway, so it is all good. Try Shelby’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Was amazing! That’s the first time I have this quality of chicken shawarma AND the bread was fresh, not gummy and you don’t need to put on a fight with it to chew it! We drove for 7hours from Montreal to see what the hype was about! Even my cousin from Sweden begged me to go and take a picture with the owner! 😂 unfortunately he wasn’t there but the roadtrip was totally worth it nonetheless, as I can say with 100% confidence that’s the best chicken shawarma I had so far in Canada! I hope you consider having a branch in MTL. Thank you for the experience!
