Black Walnut Bakery Cafe

I visited Black Walnut Bakery Cafe during my trip to London. It's a charming little coffee shop with lovely decor and very friendly staff. However, I found the coffee to be of slightly lower quality compared to Starbucks, so I would rate it a 3. The pie was on the sweeter side, which wasn't to my taste preference.

I visited Black Walnut Cafe on a Saturday and had a mixed experience. The croissant I ordered was disappointing as it was not flaky and arrived cold. I would have enjoyed it more if it was served warm. On the bright side, the hot chocolate was delightful and the quiche was tasty as well. However, I hope they can improve by serving all their baked breads warm, as it would elevate the overall dining experience.

In terms of food we ordered Iced Latte, Hot Cappuccino, Egg & Bacon Scone, Chocolate Almond Cruffin and, a Chelsea Bun (not pictured). What an absolute treat, everything was great. No complaints. In terms of service, we were helped by a gentleman whose name escapes me but, wow he was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. Additionally, this is the first place I can recall in years where tip percentages are reasonable at 5,10, or 15 percent. In terms of atmosphere, the inside and outside patio are very clean and well maintained, beautiful flowers, a great mix of sun or shade, etc. very warm and welcoming. 5/5 across the board, love Black Walnut, come here if you’re in London!
