Great Wall Chinese Food

I have been eating here since I was a child many years ago. Always a favorite. My go to for Chinese food. I always order something different to mix it up as it's all good food. However, they recently went to the meatless wonton, they are not as good as the ones before, now its just deep fried batter, no where near as good as with meat. But everything else is great. I recommend it always.

Don't let their tiny store front fool you. Great Wall made me some of the very best chinese food perhaps that I've ever had. Chicken balls were standard, well cooked and tasty. The Cantonese chow mein was a pot pourri of flavours with a base layer of simple noodles the way I like. Highly recommend the house rice. Full of meats and shrimp and bean sprouts. Everything was delicious. We will be back.

Hands down my fav Chinese food place. It's location is kind of sketchy (you have to walk down an alley of sorts to reach them) but the food is SO good. The only place I'll order from. I believe they are closed on Mondays tho which can be annoying but understable. Food prices are fair, not super expensive, and menu has quite a few options. Highly recommend.

My hub went and picked some food up from the great wall for the first time tonight after we read so many positive reviews. They told my hub, after placing the order, it was going to be a half hour, which to me, means its going to be fresh, so we had no issues with fresh food. It was fresh by the time he got it home and we opened it up. The breading is delicious and full of flavour and juicy. The sweet and sour sauce is nice and thick unlike many other chinese places now who have dried out chicken balls and watered down sweet and sour sauce. We ordered chicken wings, chicken balls, chicken fried rice and Szechuan chicken. The wings were made with an interesting twist. To our surprise they were breaded with a much lighter fluffier doughy breading that was so amazing. The Szechuan chicken was great the veggies were very fresh and the sauce was delicious. We will definitely be trying more food from this restaurant.
