Abyssinia Restaurant

We stumbled upon this place by complete accident looking for dinner after a gaming session at Zombie Games. This place deserves all the 5-star reviews it has. We ordered the mixed combo platter for 2, which is an absolute steal at £30 (total, not per person). The flavours in each dish were well-balanced and I couldn’t actually finish my half of the food—the platter was so big it barely fit onto our table. Also you can tell the owner (manager?) really values every customer. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area! 😊

It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and Abyssinia did not disappoint. Definitely recommend the mixed meat platter which had generous portions of food with a ton of variety too. The tasty food was only topped by Mr Taze's service - He had the biggest smile and catered to every need wonderfully. Will be coming back soon

Incredible food. I had Meat Combo for two persons. There was a perfect portion to try each of the items. The dish comes with a lot of injera, meat and I could only finish about 50% of it. My wife loved the food it was delicious. The customer welcoming is really amazing thanks alot Mr Taze. You’ll definitely feel full after leaving here. Service is great and staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had the best Ethiopian vegan food at this resturant. Chef Owner Taze is amazing with his cooking and care for his dinners dietery needs. We wanted vegan food without onion and garlic and he went out of his way to make us amazing full platters. My wife is from Ethiopia and she loved the food as it was authentic and very tasty. Will surely return and highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

What an experience! The food was amazing and authentic. The service by Taze made the whole experience even better. Very reasonable pricing and massive portions! From my understanding the restaurant is under new ownership and currently going through renovation and it is only going to get better. Certainly will be back.

First time sampling Ethiopian cuisine and feel like this was the right place to go. Yes, the decor is a little dated but the food and the service more than make up for it. The sharing platter is the best way to try several different items at once and is very reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend
