Il Posto

Visited Il Posto on Oct 11 prior to going to theatre. We didn’t make a reservation, just walked in and they were able to seat us right away. The service was fast and outstanding. I had the lasagna and my husband the bolognese, both so good. We saw lots of pizzas coming out, those looked awesome too!! The food was amazing. Best Italian we’ve ever had. Definitely try this place if you’re going to the theatre. Five stars across the board!!

It's been 2 days since I visited Il Posto and I'm still in shock at how incredible it was. Authentic through-and-through, friendly staff, a rich menu, fantastic location, and definitely something for everyone to try. I had the beef lasagna. I love lasagna, I've eaten many lasagne in my time and I can honestly say this was the best one that I have ever had. The taste of Italy, right there in London. I don't want to overhype it at all - maybe it won't be for you, maybe you'll have a very normal and pleasant experience, hopefully one as good as I had. Needless to say that Il Posto is an absolute must for a proper meal, special occasion, or whatever excuse you can think of to go here.

Visited this restaurant with a friend as a post-graduation treat and we weren't disappointed. We had arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes prior our booking time and the staff were very accommodating, clearing a table and seating us immediately despite being pretty busy. We ordered the Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare alongside pizza garlic bread to share and we got a more than generous serving. There was an abundance of fresh seafood and the pizza bread must've been freshly made as it was soft. Service was great as well. The waiter, Mario I believe was his name, kept updating us with our waiting time for our food, was prompt in bringing everything out, despite it being busy with large bookings, and was really friendly too.

Was not expecting to be as happy as I was with my dinner at Il Posto. First off servers are very friendly even though they are clearly very busy. The service is super quick making it ideal for pre theatre dining. I had the Norma pizza and I was blown away, this has got to be in my top pizzas ever. It was deliciously salty with a nice balance with the tomato base. Although slightly soggy, as is with aubergine or courgette topped pizzas, the amount of olive oil on top was perfect . Complimented the toppings nicely. Portion size on the pasta was also great value for money. The bruschetta looked amazing too. Although I did not order a dessert I can assure you that they look delicious! Will definitely be back.
