Restaurant located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blackfriars, opposite the train/tube station. Don't be fooled by the size or decor of the restaurant, the food is incredible. Went on a business lunch and everyone commented on how nice the meals were, excellent flavours and well prepared. The staff were equally welcoming. I would definitely recommend for a lunch/dinner around the area

Great Italian restaurant inside the Crown Plazza hotel right near Blackfriars train and tube station. The staff was very friendly and polite. The pasta was great and delicious. A little on the pricey side but the restaurant and hotel are high end. To setting is a bit formal but would go again and recommend.

I visited The Crowne Plaza Hotel for a business lunch. They have the Chinese Cricket Club restaurant in the same building but this time I wanted to give the Italian a go. Very easy to book, I used an online engine - they then confirmed the booking by phone later in the morning. The entrance is quite impressive, up some steps from the street. On the right is the Italian. We were met at the desk and asked if we wanted to leave our coats. Then, shown to our table. The restaurant was bright and airy with views of blackfriars. We had some bread and olives to share as a starter and went straight into main courses. I ordered the tagliatelle - posh spag bol. It was a good size and delicious. Others ordered a cod, or pork roulade or pizza. Everyone was happy with their choices - thankfully no food envy this time. Dessert wise, I ordered the mini puff pastry - very good, thick cream along with fruits. And then an espresso afterwards - which i thought was expensive at £4. We had an offer which meant a saving of 50% (try searching for Gourmet Society Dining Card on Google). Overall, I'd recommend visiting Crowne Plaza - there is also a lovely bar called Volteur, along with the option of afternoon tea with lovely cakes in the lounge.
