Granger & Co

Big fan of the corn fritters and the hot cakes! I've been coming to Granger & Co for years. I've not visited since before the pandemic and had the opportunity to visit this week when a friend was visiting from overseas. This is one of my favourite brunch places. It has a relaxed vibe and you never feel rushed. The service is usually pretty good. Soooo anywhere I take my parents when they are visiting is a sign that I reaaally like it. This is one of those! My friend wasn't a fan of the chai latte or coffee. I was happy with my mint tea. So if you're a coffee snob, maybe get your coffee before coming. :p I remember that this was started by an Australian chef and the first one was in Farringdon. There's three of them now, the other in Nottinghill, in fact, there might even be four now ... I'm not sure. That's how great this place is. The King's Cross branch is super convenient. Usually you have to queue on the weekend but during the week it's fine. The food quality is excellent and portion sizes are decent too. Sorry I haven't got pics as we were too busy catching up. Plus I've had the worst flu and I'm just not remembering to take pictures. Although the staff were kind enough to take a pic of us, but it was on my friends phone, which I haven't received, not that I ever post selfies anyway. 🙃

What a surprise to find a such elegant place in a middle of King’s Cross with a quite decent selection of wines. Lovely knowledge staff, who easily gave me an advice on any wine and any dish. Relaxed atmosphere. My favourite from today was tuna tartare and greens salad…buffed up with a glass of gavi de gavi. And as cherry on a top Anton been so kind to put my phone on a charge, so I could work on my emails before going from London for a few days. Big up for you great work team. Definitely come back for chicken burger next time. Thank you.

Food: We were happy with the food we were given. My friend ordered the kimchi toast and I ordered the bacon and rocket brioche and we were both happy with what we ordered. The bacon was a little bit tough and I was a bit sad to not have gotten their drip coffee since they were out of stock but those are just minor things. Service: Very efficient. We were seated almost instantly we made contact with a waiter and our waitress was also really good and managed our table well. Atmosphere: simply electric! The place was buzzing and everyone looked like they were having a good time. It looked really aesthetic and modern as well as clean. We chose this place because it was close to the station and we were a bit tight on time but the restaurant's efficiency means that anyone who has a bit of a time gap before their train definitely should come here!

Perfect location if it sunny and you’re in the area. The coconut yogurt with blueberry compote and granola was good but the portion was on the small side. The banana bread came with tons of powder sugar and for some reason the taste was off. I think they toasted it in the same toaster they use for savoury dishes. The coffee is great. Their specialty is definitely the scrambled egg dish. The staff was accommodating. We ate at the counter as there was a queue already of people waiting to be seated outside in the sun. Quick service.

I discovered this place once when I was traveling from St Pancras station. Now it's a must whenever I pass by, either for breakfast, brunch or dinner! I prefer King's Cross branch than Chelsea's or Notting Hill. The staff is kind and friendly, the menu is great and varied, food is very fresh and absolutely delicious 😋
