Lima Cantina

First time visiting this restaurant and it was for a private work function held downstairs. Great venue with really friendly service. There were around 25 of us so we all pre-ordered from the set menu. The food came out promptly with no mistakes and nobody left waiting for a plate. The beef empanadas were a big hit with everyone, so tasty!

We had a great time at Floral. The place is cozy and very well decorated. The meals presentation were outstanding and the dishes were also delicious. I was only disappointed by the dessert. I ordered the tres leches and it was not as delicious as other tres leches I have tried. I regret not ordering the chocolate mousse.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food. His steak was delicious and well seasoned. My octopus was perfect. As a non drinker, I was surprised and pleased to see 3 mocktails on the menu. The Peruvian Malbec was fantastic. The tiramisu was to die for. My boyfriend said it’s the best he’s ever tasted, and we ate it in Rome! The food came very quickly, very well presented. Service was great if a little quick at times. We had to wait a while for the bill and asked in the end. The music and atmosphere was beautiful. They played our favourite bossa nova tracks which was wonderful. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you Flora for a wonderful experience on a special day.

Saturday, May 27th, we came at 8pm and were served by a lovely lady called Hiba. We had a salmon ceviche, a sea beam ceviche, a chaufa rice, and two baked beef empanadas. The ceviches were very fresh, the quality of the fish surprised us and as well as the acidity of the lemon, almost identical to the ones from Perù! We also really enjoyed the variation of the avocado tiger’s milk as it is very similar to a very underrated “apaltado” ceviche. The baked beef empanadas were superb, they felt like home. We had a pisco sour, and a tropical drink, the pisco was incredible and the tropical drink was so delicate and fresh. At the end, we had to treat ourselves to the best maracuyá (passion fruit) panacotta, which was just the cherry on top, surprised us with the sweetness of it, as many restaurants tend to get the maracuyá flavor too acidic. Amazing and quick service and the quality of the service! See you soon Hiba, you were so kind ! Congratulations to the chefs. We are definitely coming back soon!

Exceptional. We wanted to try something a little different and Floral by Lima did not disappoint. We had old fashion cocktails which were perfectly made and we had a selection of small plates. The beef tacos were out of this world. I highly recommend this place and we cannot wait to go back just so we can work through the menu .

Loved it! 👏👏 Wonderful flavoursome food and such a lovely atmosphere. And they are dog-friendly - dogs are welcome indoors and outside 💕 Initially we waited for a good while to order or even get some water, nearly left (perhaps, it was the time when shifts change), but I'm so glad we stayed - really enjoyed the food!! Everything was great, the cuzco corn cake that came with ribeye was a true discovery! Also they have kindly given me some Peruvian Pisco to try - I have not tried this drink before, Google said it tastes like grappa, which I'm not a fan of, so it was very helpful to try it - it's more like Blanche Armagnac, light pleasant flavour. Subsequently I tried and enjoyed their Pisco Sour, and also bought a bottle of Pisco on the way home 😄🤣 enjoying new flavours 😎 maybe will even attempt to cook the corn cake! 👩‍🍳 One thing: dessert - Tres Leches - beware it comes sitting in milk (98% sure it was cow's milk), the menu doesn't mention anything re allergies and we didn't think to ask, sort of presumed that all the leches involved are condensed or cooked through, but one of the tres milks was literally milk 😄🥛(see picture below) for me - no problem, it's just a dash, but useful to know before ordering!
