The George Iv, Chiswick

Excellent pub loved the atmosphere, really enjoyed the fish and chips I do recommend it!!! The octopus was delicious and too salty but very good, the chicken wings were fantastic, and the avocado on toast was delicious but the Chile was too spicy. Would come back again , thanks to our waiter Ben S he made us feel very welcomed and never hesitated to check back on us.

Went to comedy club which I thoroughly enjoyed - good mix of comedians for all tastes and the auduence loved them all. Walked through the pub proper which was buzzing full of life - aircon and I think a band was playing. It looked like everyone was having a great time. Have been there before and had a meal which was great. All in all, a good experience

Good, lively atmosphere with frequent events such as live music and comedy shows to keep the place interesting. Standard London prices. Busy but not overcrowded and the people are generally nice. Haven’t seen any problem customers after going with colleagues after work about 20-30 times in the past five years.

Yet again another great Sunday lunchtime in Chiswick one if not the best place to visit for Sunday lunch in the area. I love the beef not the best chicken always but dry and the pork is missing the crackling. The only negative today was they have changed the menu. Just not updated the website so don’t expect what is on there or if you look at the drinks menu as this hasn’t been updated on the food selection. They have taken off the egg in mushroom and left on the egg in black pudding this isn’t the best give it a miss. Must say there are a nice few additions to the menu I will be back to try when in Chiswick. Don’t forget you have the flower and chess markets these are also a great reason to visit for Sunday lunch. To be honest the staff are great and make you feel very welcome so it’s a destination not just a place to visit. Please give it a try and see if I’m wrong.
