Kalamari

We had a great meal at Kalamari this evening. We had the slow roasted lamb, mixed grill and fried kalamari and it all tasted incredible. The staff were super friendly and it was such a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. It’s clear that the owner and staff really care about great food and great service. We have found ourselves a new favourite Greek!

Kalamari is a beaut of a hidden gem. Telephoned the restaurant 2 hours ahead on a Saturday night and got a table fairly easy. The host was very welcoming and considerate, closed the windows and gave us a window table. The service was excellent. Explained the menu well. Loved the food options. Ordered Mixed Grill and Grilled Sea Bass which seemed really fresh, the whole fish was served and well prepared with minimal bones. Even the veg was really well seasoned and cooked. With the mixed grill there was equal serving of meat and veg and delicious. Overall reasonably priced. We also order Baklava with ice cream, very tasty. The staff were all polite and made us feel valued and at home. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. If there was any room for improvement, I would say the need to dry the outdoor seating if it's been raining as not pleasant to sit on wet seats. Also I would have liked a candlelight dining setting and maybe some flowers - could've created a more romantic setting. Otherwise really pleased with the food and the service!!!
