Jackson + Rye

Food was great and an easy 5/5, but the service was outstanding. Was myself and a friend, who mentioned it was my birthday but did not say it was a special 21st. After our meal when we made it clear we were not ordering desserts, they came out with not just a brownie and ice cream with a candle, but clearly popped to the local shops when my friend mentioned it was my birthday as they generously presented me with a bouquet flowers. A small dessert is a lovely gesture but rather common, however the flowers just show how kind the staff were. Thank you for a lovely 21st lunch!

Probably the greatest bar in the City! Jackson + Rye is the kind of bar that has just the right elements to ensure a good night out with a friend or colleagues, whilst impressing them at the same time. This is definitely a sophisticated venue with just the right selection of draft beers and and an extensive range of UK and US single malts. They also have made just the right choice of music selection, easy listening and contemporary, played at just the right volume. Refurbishments have recently taken place to separate the restaurant from the bar, thus ensuring a quiet dining experience can be had even at the busiest of times. Speaking of the restaurant, the food is to die for, yum yum. The best feature of the bar is the staff. They are amazing, so attentive and friendly.

I only go here after work on a Friday for a quick few drinks but will try to grab a meal one day. It's never been crammed, and doesn't attract idiots. Trying to be an NY derivative, and maybe it's close. Unlike NY, there are 2 beers. An IPA....and lager. But that's fine as both are really good. Served in a reassuringly expensive glass tankard (not a pint), they hit the mark. Ordered some wings and whilst bang on with an amazing spicy sauce, a NY bar that served 3 wings as a serving would die. Maybe it's London, but was hoping for a complete NY experience, not more ripoff London. Anyway, not removing a star for this as it's London. I have to say the staff have consistently been amazing. All in all, a great place, not quite the full NY experience, but great option for quick drinks, group nights and proper sit down meals. If you are a beer lover, whilst the beer is really good, the lack of 100 craft beers will put you off.

*Atmosphere - This place has a really nice atmosphere and vibe to it. Its really well complimented by the environment inside as it is a bar/restaurant. *Customer service - the customer service here is pretty good. Staff are friendly and quick to take and present your orders. *Drinks - the menu has and great selection of drinks, and it's worth noting that they have some of the best non-alcoholic drinks out there. The juices drinks are worth trying f you haven't already tried them. *Lighting - The lighting and presentation is consistently good and adds alot to the atmosphere and vibe of the place. I especially liked some of the art work they've got hanging around the walls. Overall - I would highly recommend checking this place out for sure. I would give it 5 stars, but I haven't tried the food there yet.
