The Battenberg Badger

Wow, what a find! Super-friendly staff and owner, I only pop in once or twice a week for coffee & cake when I’m in the area, but they always remember just how I like it – speaking of which, the home-baked cakes are absolutely fantastic, always something new but with recurring favourites and vegan options. Haven’t tried the breakfast or anything savoury yet but I must do soon. Only wish I could give the place six stars.

A great cafe to go to especially with babies & children. Opened up about a year ago and seems to be doing well. This isn't the usual cafe though, all the food is healthy & cakes especially are baked to perfection & I've never even heard of most of the cakes they bake which are all delicious. Really recommend this place to go especially if you are a cake lover and have little ones👶🍰🥧🍼☕ but it's not full of babies too the point that you can't hear anything! The parents (every time I've been) seem to have very young babies 6 months upwards & then the little bit older one's aged 3 who are all very well behaved! There are high chairs & books & a few toys for the children. Highly recommended!

A little Oasis in the badlands of upper holloway road. They have some healthy options as well as more filling items such as Ham Ploughmans. Obviously home made. Coffee is good. Prices, whilst not dirt cheap, are reasonable and compare well with neighbouring Spoke. Decor is like to someones house but clean. I hope they don't go bust or business rates drive them out.
