Boopshi's

We went to Boopshi’s for our team Christmas lunch and it was very enjoyable! The premise of the restaurant is schnitzel, sausages and schnapps. Unlike Herman Ze German around the corner this is a proper restaurant where the waiters come and take your order. I tried 2 of the sausages (the bratwurst and the kase brockwurst – a sausage with soft cheese just under the skin – amazing!) with a side of spatzel n cheese with added speck all of which was lovely (if a little heavy but it’s the sort of food you want in December!). Other members of the party tried the schnitzel which also looked good. The restaurant is quite small so you are all seated quite close together. The only other downside I would add is that a lot of the items are an additional cost so it’s quite easy for the bill to add up. Good food and service though – perfect comfort food eats!

If you've never had schnitzel, then it's about time you had schnitzel... at Boopshi's. This place boasts a very nice, Austrian dinning experience with the biggest schnitzel I've ever seen outside Austria. On my first visit to this place - to date - I was met with a warm reception by the staff and a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Whilst the beer selection isn't spectacular, I imagine that most don't go to Boopshi's for the beer, but the Schnapps and the cocktails. Alas, I couldn't comment on either of these. The food, however, is amazing, and the portions are big. Very big. But I'd expect as much. For the quality and size of the portions in this place is reflected in the price. That's right, this restaurant is not cheap. But so long as you're aware of this before going in you're bound to have a good dinning experience.
