Very good quality omakase, nice team, the only thing is the soy sauce which runs through most courses used is a bit too salty for my personal liking Update: with the new chef Maru is now better than the previous iteration. Some of the items in the omakase were very nice, great sushis. There's however a significant kaiseki element which I'm not a big fan of.

Definitely coming back! Epic experience, i’d say the best omakase i’ve been to! The way they present and explain every dish was amusing, the balance between raw and cooked food with very high quality ingredients is incredible, the space is uniquely designed, gave me the Japanese feeling- wished all seats were in the same level but still even tho we were on the side we had an amazing experience 🙏🏻

I especially like the concept design, very distinctive dry aged 🐟 Variety and creativity of ingredients! There is also a sense of interaction with the chef. In the end, you can take the 🥢 home to commemorate, and the afternoon tea for the next day is ready for you. There are really too many surprises!

An incredible & spectacular experience. The dining experience was very cosy and I felt comfortable. The chef & his team’s performance was warm and genuine, the food was mouth watering and mesmerising. Each dishes were top quality. I would highly recommend this beautiful omakase dining experience to every sushi lover.

Chef Taiji Maruyama, together with his fantastic team, takes you on a whole Japanese culinary journey that you will hardly forget! The Omakase menu allows you to try 20 different courses, with the best ingredients you have ever tasted. Every single course and story of the product is explained in detail and with passion, allowing you to really enjoy every bite. Don't forget to try SAKE to have a fully-immersive experience! At the end of the evening, they'll wrap and give you your chopsticks to take home, along with a very special gift. You really feel at home and taken care of at MARU. If I did not convince you enough, well... you'll have to try yourself and believe me, you'll not be disappointed! 5++++ stars Thank you Chef and MARU team for this unforgettable evening!

Maru is incredible. An intimate dining journey for 6-7 people max, you'll be served a tailor-made meal of some of the finest nigiri, seafood and shellfish I have ever eaten. Chef takes you through each of the 20 courses on offer, making them in front of you with local produce (where possible). It was the best dining experience I have had in London; if you love sushi and seafood, you will be over the moon with your visit to Maru.

Definitely the best sushi I have ever had. Great service throughout. We had the sake pairing which was fantastic with all dishes. The chef explained everything and it was more than just the incredible food, it’s a whole unforgettable experience. PS. Do be aware that service will be added on top of the omakase price at the end. Certainly pricey but every bit delicious :)

We went there yesterday night for the second service. This was a birthday gift for my partner. Such an incredible experience! This is by far the best experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. The food was beyond amazing, the service very professional and lovely. I really felt taken care of during the whole night. I can not recommend enough! The tea pairing was perfect as well.
