Hop

Decent enough Vietnamese place in the city. Great Viet iced coffee, but dropped a star for increasing prices and stopping breakfast post Covid. I get it, but almost £4 for what is essentially a medium size is too much, especially as I can’t grab it until most of the way through the morning. I’ve heard this branch is closing in July, which is a shame. Will be missed.

I'm Vietnamese and I used to love Hop when it first came out, the combination of Vietnamese taste and the compact lunch boxes is perfect. Over time, the taste has been changed and it is too sweet now. But I love the branding design at Hop stores, I will definitely eat there everyday now if they can get the taste right Edit: so I came back again for the hot beef pho and surprisingly it was quite decent. For a price of about £7, you will get a lot of good quality meat, generous amount of noodles and tasty broth. It’s good value and decent tasting for the price and location. I’d go back again for a quick pho on work days. I’ll give it 4 star for the pho!
